ABC NEWS - Current news updates & alerts

This app isn't great, it's more on the mediocre side. A lot of the articles won't show up when you try to load them, and even if they do, they might not work properly. The 'latest' section mostly has opinion pieces instead of real news. You can choose your areas of interest in the settings, but every time you go back to the app, it goes back to showing the latest (poor quality) content. You also have to turn on location tracking to select your preferred city or area. After the recent update, the app started including annoying ads and videos in the articles, making the whole experience even worse.

The app and widget keep crashing. A new update was released to fix this, but it's still happening. Many others have also mentioned this problem in their reviews. It's disappointing that there hasn't been much effort to address it.

I really enjoy using the app. It gets updated all the time, so I always get the latest news whenever I open it. I appreciate that the news is presented in a straightforward way and not exaggerated. It makes me trust and respect the news more when it's reported in a calm manner.

I haven't had any bugs or lag problems with the app. I've used it every day for more than a year. I'm writing a review to say how happy I am that dark mode is now available on Android. I also love the design of articles on special interest stories that ABC showcases. It's really great!

I love having ABC news on my phone, but the photos never show up. I told them about it a while back, but they still haven't fixed it. Pictures make news stories more interesting, especially when the story talks about them. It's a shame we can't see them. If you're having the same problem, try the BBC app - it works great, even though it's not Australian.
