The AFL Live Official App provides a handy platform to keep up to date with everything AFL. Here, you can get the latest news about your favorite team and players, including trades and transfers. You can even watch a breakdown of every single possession from every match of your favorite athlete. Of course, you can also view comprehensive stats for every match, plus live scores and the live ladder.

What players will appreciate more about the app is its live radio. With this, you can listen to every match. Moreover, you can watch all the season highlights and player interviews. Best of all,  all pre-season, Toyota AFL Premiership season, and Final Series from 2012 onward are available on-demand. Now you can stream full match replays of your favorite teams.

However, while it looks promising, AFL Live Official App is not free of drawbacks. There are a few issues that can be a deal-breaker for some users. For one, the Live Pass from the previous iteration is no longer available. With this, you can no longer live stream games before 2021. Additionally, video and radio streaming drops constantly, regardless of how strong your connection is.

Is the app good?

Overall, AFL Live Official App is a great app to have for any AFL fan. Here, you can access all the latest information about your favorite football league. From statistics, profiles, rosters, and summaries to match highlights and interviews, everything you need is here. You can even follow the ongoing game, thanks to the live radio feature. However, its performance could use improvement as its live radio is so unstable.

    I really enjoy using the AFL app. I can't watch games on TV, so I'm happy that I can mark upcoming matches of teams that interest me. This way, I receive notifications on my phone when those teams are playing, and I can see live updates during the matches. The app also helps me find the dates, times, and locations of the games. And I can easily check the league standings too.

    There are many problems with the app. I now just use the website on my browser instead. It's been a long time since important issues like articles not displaying properly and videos not going fullscreen in landscape mode were identified, but nothing has been done to fix them. Does it seem like only one university student is in charge of maintaining this app?

    Oh man, this app is a total mess. You open it and get stuck at the loading screen forever. And when it finally does load, nothing happens. You have to shut down your phone and try again, but sometimes it's still super slow. It's just as annoying as watching a team coached by Ross Lyon.

    There are so many videos with those pesky ads at the beginning. I really prefer reading news that I want. It's so time-consuming to sift through and wait for a specific snippet to show up in a video.
