How It Works

1. Describe What You Need Done

Begin by clearly outlining the task you need assistance with. Keep your description concise and straightforward to attract the best Taskers. The more specific you are, the easier it will be for Taskers to understand your requirements.

2. Set Your Budget

Establish a budget for your task. Don’t worry if you’re unsure; you can adjust your budget later and discuss it with potential Taskers as needed. This flexibility allows for better negotiations and ensures you find someone who fits your financial plan.

3. Receive Quotes and Choose the Right Tasker

After posting your task, you’ll receive quotes from interested Taskers. Review their profiles, ratings, completion rates, and customer reviews to help you make an informed decision. Select the Tasker who best meets your needs and expectations.

4. Complete the Task and Provide Feedback

Once the task is completed, show your appreciation by releasing payment to the Tasker. Additionally, take a moment to write a review detailing your experience. This feedback not only helps the Tasker but also informs future users about the quality of their work.

1. How do I pay for my task?

To pay for your task on Airtasker, we exclusively use our secure online payment system called Airtasker Pay. Follow these simple steps to add or update your payment details:

    1. Log in to your Airtasker account.

    2. Go to Payment Methods

    3. In the Make Payments section, you can add or update your credit or debit VISA, Mastercard or AMEX details.

By following these steps, you can easily and securely make payments for your tasks on Airtasker and rest assured that all your information is securely stored within Airtasker.

2. How do I choose the right Tasker for my task?

Congratulations on posting your new task! Now it's time to select a Tasker who can help you complete it. But how do you choose the right person? Here are a few suggestions:

    Review the offer price and details: Take a look at the offer comment to see what the Tasker is including in their price. Make sure it aligns with your requirements and expectations.

    Check out their profile pages: Visit the Taskers' profile pages to gather more information. Look for the following:

        Bio: Read what they have written about themselves in their bio. This will give you an idea of their skills, experience, and expertise.

        Portfolio: Check if they have uploaded any past work to their portfolio. This can give you a glimpse of their capabilities and the quality of their work.

        Badges: Look for badges such as police checks and licenses. These indicate that the Tasker has undergone certain verifications or possesses specific qualifications.

        Completion rate: Consider their completion rate, which reflects how often they have successfully finished tasks assigned to them. A higher completion rate generally indicates reliability and commitment.

        Star rating and reviews: Pay attention to the Tasker's star rating and reviews from previously completed tasks. This feedback can provide valuable insights into their performance and customer satisfaction.

    Ask questions: If you still have doubts or need more information, you can use the comment section to ask specific questions to the Tasker. However, remember that Airtasker prohibits the public sharing of private contact details, business names, personal information links, or 3rd party links containing private information.     When you’re posting your task, make sure to write an honest and detailed description of what you need to be completed.

Ask questions

    Asking questions via the comment section is a valuable way to ensure that you and the Tasker are on the same page to make sure that you get your desired outcome. Select the right Tasker for your task

    After you post a task on Airtasker, you might get multiple offers from a range of Taskers that are interested in your task. When this happens, it can be challenging to determine which Tasker is the best fit for your task. Please refer to How do I choose the right Tasker for my task?

Don't forget to release the payment and leave a review!

    Once your task is completed, the Tasker will request payment and you'll be prompted with an option to release the payment held in Airtasker. Please refer to How do I pay the Tasker? and My task is done. How do I leave a review?.

4. How to write a good task description

When creating a task, it's important to provide a detailed and clear description for Taskers to understand what you need to be done. This ensures that both you and the Taskers are on the same page right from the start. It also helps Taskers come prepared with the correct equipment and materials, avoiding any delays in completing the task.

Based on our observations, a good task description includes the following:

    All relevant details about the task.

    A task price that covers the entire cost of completing the task.

    Additional information such as photos, measurements, model numbers, and materials needed.

Here is an example of a well-written task description and one that could use some improvement:

Good: I'm looking for someone to mow my lawn, which is roughly 15m by 5m in size. The grass has grown to around 30cm tall. I also have 5 pot plants that need pruning. I have attached some pictures of the pot plants to this task. My green bin is full, so you'll need to take the clippings away. I work weekdays, so early afternoon on either Saturday or Sunday would be perfect. I need this done before the 5th of April.

P.S. You'll need to bring your own lawn mower because mine is broken.

Bad: Mow my lawn and prune my plants.
