Alaska Airlines

Step 2 – If you purchased a nonrefundable fare, choose how you want to receive the travel credit.

If you have a My Account profile at alaskaair.com, sign into your account and choose “send the credit to My Wallet.”

If you don’t have a My Account profile or prefer to get your travel credit via email for later use, choose “send the travel credit to my email.”

Step 3 – Confirm cancellation.

If you choose “send the credit to My Wallet”, the funds will appear in your My Account profile. This can take up to 7 days, but usually happens almost immediately. When you’re ready to book your next flight, the credit will be available to use, as long as you’re signed into your account.

If you choose to “send the travel credit to my email”, you’ll receive 2 emails.  One with the certificate code, and one with the PIN.  You’ll need both of these when you’re ready to book your next flight.

A confirmation email will be waiting for you in your inbox.

How to change your reservation online

Every airline app should be like this one. It's quick, responsive, and super easy to navigate. It has all the features you need but doesn’t feel cluttered at all. Someone needs to show British Airways how it’s done! Alaska gets it right. Huge thanks to the developers at Alaska! One thing I would love to see is a simple way to switch the destination and departure cities. Instead of retyping everything, just a click to swap them would be amazing. Priceline and Google Maps have this feature, so it would make booking so much easier!

I exclusively use this app for all my flight bookings. It keeps me informed about any changes or cancellations, and whether flights are on time. I rely on it for everything—checking in, handling baggage claims, ordering food, and reaching out to an Alaska representative directly. The layout is user-friendly, making it super convenient to use.

Travel apps can be a nightmare when they crash at the worst moments. Luckily, this app never lets me down. Booking flights feels effortless. Checking in happens in seconds. Tracking my miles? Simple and straightforward. Everything I need is right there. Bravo to this amazing tool!

This app is fantastic! Super handy for Alaska flights. I really like this airline. The update made it even better, especially for T-Mobile users with that free hour of internet. It would be nice if the app included info on incoming flights, but overall, it’s my top pick for domestic airlines. I especially love flying into SEA, SFO, and PDX.

This app shines with its user-friendly design and quick updates. Over the years, I’ve experienced minimal crashes or errors. It really stands out. One thing that could improve the experience is the option to save boarding passes as PDFs. I often book flights for my college kids. I like to email the passes so they can print them. This way, if their phone battery dies during delays or connections, they still have what they need.

This app is amazing! It makes checking in super easy, even if there are some hiccups with the mileage plan numbers. Sometimes you can’t add them at check-in, but that’s alright since there’s a chance to add them later. This week has been hectic for airlines, so being able to check in from home feels like a blessing. The app is user-friendly and provides helpful prompts.

The best customer service shines bright. The frequent flyer program stands out as the best. Overall excellence is clear. A shoutout to Mr. Ayer for starting this incredible culture. Big thanks to Mr. Tilden for keeping it alive. Gratitude goes to all Alaska Airlines team members for their hard work in making it happen. Feeling proud of my hometown carrier!
