Introducing Amaze File Manager

Amaze File Manager is an open-source file management tool that lets you explore all the directories on your Android device, move files and folders, rename documents, copy and paste files, and so on.

The first Amaze File Manager feature that will catch your attention is its clean, simple, and elegant interface. In fact, users can even change the app's entire color scheme in its options.

Besides the basic features you'd expect from any file manager (cut, copy, delete, compress, extract, etc.), Amaze File Manager has some additional features that make working with your files even easier. The quick browse box, for example, gives you something like shortcuts to the directories you use most often.

Another interesting feature is its app manager, which lets you take a look at all the apps you have installed and delete them if you want to free up some memory on your Android.

Amaze File Manager is a simple but powerful file manager. Though it remains in an early stage of development, it still boasts a more-than-respectable interface and great features.

Using Guide

Open-source and lightweight file manager

Amaze File Manager is a free utility application for mobile made by developer Team Amaze. It is an open-source file manager that boasts a light footprint and a minimalist design inspired by Google's Material Design guidelines. It provides users with various theming options and supports landscape operation.

Much like other options in the market, like ES File Explorer or Cx File Explorer, Amaze File Manager offers a variety of advanced options and features that go beyond just simple file management needs. Being open source, everything is available to users from the get-go and without any ads to speak of.

Clean and simple

Mobile device file managers are pretty much standard these days and will suffice for most users' needs. They are lightweight, no-frills utilities for basic file management tasks and not much else. If you need more advanced options and features, there are plenty of other third-party options to choose from in the market, and Amaze File Manager is one such example.

When you first open this file manager app, you will be greeted with a clean and minimal UI that you can customize to your liking with its various theming options. Moving past the basic stuff, it offers handy features that advanced users will appreciate. They include FTP and SMB server and client support for seamless file transfers, AES encryption for added security, and integration with cloud services.

If you have a rooted device, you will be glad to know you can browse and tweak your system files using the built-in root explorer. The overall experience that it provides is a fast and reliable one. It does suffer from occasional random crashes here and there, but those instances are few and far between, which will more than likely be addressed in future updates.

Fast and reliable

If you're looking for a fast and clean file manager that does not skimp out on features, Amaze File Manager is a great option you can check out. It's customizable, offers plenty of extra features, and just works well. The fact that it's open-source and will continually be developed and supported by the community is just a nice bonus. Recommended.

There is a cool app that has a feature where you can open several tabs at once. This makes it really convenient to transfer or duplicate things between different folders effortlessly.

The app is really impressive. It has a great, user-friendly interface and it is open source. Unfortunately, I am unable to open USB drives, possibly due to not being rooted. Apart from that, the app is fantastic!

I tried opening a video file with its own player, but it asked me to download a different app. I didn't want to deal with that, so I removed a star and uninstalled it. Besides that issue, it was just like any other file manager out there.

I think this app is really great, it has so many useful features. I've been using it for quite some time now and I just want to give a big shoutout to the developer. Thank you for creating such a useful app, you should definitely consider making a paid version because I would be happy to pay for it.

Hey there! I just had to share my thoughts on this app with you, even though I haven't actually tried it out yet. So, I've been a user of ES for a while, but lately, I've been totally put off by their move to 'freemium' status. But guess what? I stumbled upon this app, and the fact that it's open-source is really exciting. And to top it off, I love seeing that the creators are from India. Big thumbs up to you guys. Keep up the awesome work!

This app does the job. What I appreciate most is that it supports Samsung Secure Folder, which was my biggest worry. It would be helpful to have a tutorial though, because I struggled to figure out how to access multiple tabs. The swipe function for tabs is not user-friendly, in my personal view. I would prefer something like a dropdown menu because I have trouble with gestures due to my fine motor skills challenges. I often forget that the tabs feature even exists. Until they improve the accessibility of the tabs, I can only give this app two stars, unfortunately. I want to like it, I really do, but... yeah.

Wow, this app is really well made! The design is clean and it's super easy to use. The developer's list of features is honest and accurate. They mentioned in-app purchases but surprisingly I haven't come across any ads or prompts for buying anything. I switched to this File Manager specifically for its FTP function. We definitely need more free open source apps like this that don't have annoying micro-transactions or content-filled ads. Huge thanks to the developers for their dedication and hard work in creating and maintaining this amazing and free open source software.
