I've been using android TV since 2014, and recently I switched to a Nvidia Shield pro. I opted for this because it doesn't show ads on the home screen like Roku or Amazon Fire Stick, which is a big plus for me. I don't mind paying a bit more for a device that is ad-free. However, now there are home screen ads appearing, which I really dislike. I don't want to go through the trouble of finding ways to remove them. So, I returned the new Shield Pro, will dispose of the old one, and have just ordered a new Apple TV 4k. At this point, Android TV is no longer my choice. I don't want ads on a premium device; it's a major turn-off for me. I don't want these ads ruining my experience, especially on my 77" OLED TV.

Oh man, I just dropped $1,200 on this TV mainly because I was really vibing with its user interface and the fact that it didn't bombard me with ads I couldn't care less about. But now, with the latest Android TV update, they've gone and ruined everything by throwing in these annoying "highlights" – basically huge ads for stuff I find downright dreadful – right smack at the top of my TV homepage. Seriously, can we please have an option to turn off these ads?

For the past 7 years, I've been using a Nexus Player or nVidia Shield TV and have upgraded every few years. I've always preferred the Android TV interface over others because of its simplicity and the fact that it didn't show ads like Roku or Fire TV. However, things have changed now, and ads seem unavoidable. When it's time to get a new device, I won't be considering something with Google's operating system anymore. I believe ads should be completely optional and can be restricted to only services for which you have a subscription. After all, this device isn't free – I've already paid for it, so if Google wants to show me ads, they should be compensating me instead.

So, like, have you noticed that now when you turn on your TV, there are ads on the home screen that you can't get rid of? And these ads are promoting certain shows and stuff that have a Pro-Black and Pro-Gay message, even if you don't have those apps? It's kind of annoying because every time you want to watch something, you're being reminded of what Google is trying to promote. Personally, it's really starting to bother me.

So, there's this new update that came out on May 21st, where they added Disney+ recommendations right at the top of your home screen, and guess what? You can't even turn it off! Like seriously, I know I forked out a bunch of cash for this TV, so being bombarded with ads like this is just not cool. It's totally unacceptable.

So, basically, the company made a new update where they put ads right in your face and you can't even turn them off. It's really frustrating, especially for people who have TVs like Sony that come with this feature built into the home screen. Some of us bought these TVs specifically expecting a clean and customizable interface, but now we're stuck with annoying ads after splurging on an expensive TV.

I am really fed up with the new version of my Hisense TV. It was all good before I updated it, but now when I try to use any app, I encounter a lot of problems. Unfortunately, I can't revert to the previous version. I've already tried resetting it to factory settings, but it hasn't solved anything. Please help me out.

Ugh, this app is driving me crazy now! They made everything so much worse in the latest update. It's like they downgraded every single feature. Now it takes ages to open apps - I have to press the remote button twice because some annoying menu keeps popping up unnecessarily. And don't get me started on customizing channels - it's become a total mess. Moving them around has become so confusing, and when a menu pops up, I can't even see which item is selected anymore. Seriously, Google, what were you thinking? You're practically pushing me to switch to a different launcher. So frustrating!

So, like, the new Android TV home update? Yeah, it's, like, now playing ads automatically on the home screen. And because of that, it's, you know, using up more system resources. So, sometimes when I go back to the home screen, my TV, like, freezes for a bit before responding again. They really need to fix this problem, like, right away.

This device has a Start menu that's like what you see in Windows 8. You can easily open your applications with just one tap by going to the 'Apps' tab, where apps and games are sorted into separate groups for better organization. If you check out the 'Discover' tab, you'll get customized recommendations for popular content based on your interests. It's perfect for YouTube enthusiasts who want quick access to the latest videos from their favorite channels. And now with the 'Shop' tab, you can rent or buy digital content like TV episodes right from the device.
