Battle in fast-paced multiplayer matches with friends!
You’ll start off as Shelly in Gem Grab mode. Controlling her with your left thumb and firing with your right, you’re pitted against other players in a 3v3 scramble to get 10 gleaming purple stones. Taking out an opponent makes them drop their gems. Scoop them up and your team is on its way to victory. Play well and you’ll eventually unlock Showdown mode to duke it out in a last-player-standing battle royale. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg in Brawl Stars.
Hiding is a viable option, but with arenas designed for action, you won’t stay in the weeds for long.
The game’s nuances reveal themselves over days, weeks, and months. As you unlock more characters and modes, the strategic possibilities expand exponentially. Here are a few quick tips:
Bust a special move
Every character has a unique Super. Experiment to find your favorite!
Your Super move is an extra-powerful one-shot attack. It’s charged by inflicting damage, so don’t worry if you’re not landing knockout blows—you’re still building up your Super. When it’s ready, the icon on the right side of the screen will turn yellow. Take aim and watch the carnage unfold.
Hold your fire
About to perish? Find cover and heal up.
OK, so you’ve taken a few hits. Never fear! Cease fire and after a few seconds your health will start to recharge. If you’re really struggling, head to grassy areas to hide or wait it out behind cover.
There’s no “I” in team
Stick with your crew—there’s safety in numbers.
Moving around as a tight three-player unit is very effective. If one of your teammates makes a dash for some gems, you’ll be close enough to lay down some cover fire. Toward the end of a match, if one player holds most of your team’s gems, have a teammate shield that player while the third makes a dash to push your team’s gem total to 10. Then hang back and defend as a unit.
