Since removing content can affect your followers, it's a decision that should be made carefully. In fact, there are only three valid reasons for deleting Pins or Boards!
The Three Reasons for Deleting Pins or Boards on Pinterest
Proceed with caution before embarking on a deleting spree! There are only three situations where deleting content is truly necessary:
You Pinned something potentially problematic: This includes spam or content that violates community guidelines.
There’s a typo in your image: Obvious typos can negatively impact Pin performance, so be sure to double-check your text before posting.
An influencer deal has expired: Outdated offers can lead to disappointment and may harm your brand's reputation. Keep in mind that if anyone has reshared your Pin, those will remain visible.
If your reason for deleting a Pin doesn’t fall into one of these categories, you might be better off using a less permanent solution, such as archiving boards and Pins.
How to delete a Pin on Pinterest?
If you've decided to delete a few old Pins, the process is quite straightforward. However, before you proceed with these step-by-step instructions, keep in mind that once a Pin is deleted, it CANNOT be recovered. Make sure you are certain about your decision!To start, log in to your account and click on your profile image in the top right corner of the screen. Then:
1.Locate the Pin you wish to delete (it's easier to do this on a desktop or laptop computer).
2.Click on the Pin to open it.
3.Then, click the “…” button and select “Edit Pin” (represented by the pencil icon) – refer to the example below.
4.Click “Delete” in the bottom left corner of your screen (you'll need to confirm this action by clicking it twice).

1.Visit https://www.pinterest.com/. If you're already logged into Pinterest, this will take you to your home page.
2.Click on the "Profile" icon located in the top-right corner.
3.Click a board. If needed, use the search bar to quickly find boards.
4.Click ••• . You can find this at the top, next to the board name.
5.Click Edit board. This is the first option.
6.Scroll down and select "Delete board." This option is located at the very bottom of the pop-up window.
7.Click "Delete" to remove the board.You have 7 days to restore deleted boards from the Recently Deleted section. After that period, the board will be permanently deleted.

To hide a Pin from your home feed, click on the ••• icon next to the Pin, then select "Hide Pin."
