When employing a keyboard
1.First, make your way to a YouTube video.
You have several options at your disposal. You can look for specific channels, explore various playlists, check out the videos recommended just for you, or simply type in the search bar to locate that particular video you've been wanting to watch. It's important to note that this particular method is exclusive to the desktop version of YouTube. Additionally, it requires the use of a physical keyboard, so it won't work if you're using other devices or input methods.
2.Pause the YouTube video. To do this, you have two convenient options. You can simply press the Spacebar key on your physical keyboard, or alternatively, give the video a click with your mouse to halt its playback.
3.To move through the video frame by frame, you can utilize the comma (,) and period (.) keys. These keys are located between the M and ? keys on your keyboard. Each time you press one of these keys, the video will advance or rewind by a single frame.
If you wish to view the video in reverse, frame by frame, simply press the comma (,) key. Conversely, to progress forward frame by frame, press the period (.) key.
4.You also have the option to use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard. On a full-sized keyboard, these keys are positioned on the right side. When you press these keys, the YouTube video will either rewind or fast-forward. Specifically, each press of the key will cause the video to move in the corresponding direction by five seconds.
If you want to go back in the video, press the left arrow key, and it will rewind the video by five seconds. On the other hand, if you wish to move ahead in the video, simply press the right arrow key, and the video will fast-forward by five seconds.
Utilizing Playback Speed
1.First, find your way to a video on YouTube. You can search for different channels, look through various playlists, or use the search bar to locate a particular video you want to watch.
This approach is applicable when you're watching YouTube on the mobile application, a Smart TV, or any other device or platform. It's important to note that although you won't be able to go through the video frame by frame, you do have the option to play the video at a speed that is only 25% of its regular speed.
2.Locate and click on the cogwheel icon. Its position may differ based on the device you are using. However, in most cases, you can find it either in the top or bottom corner of the video you are watching.
3.Choose the "Playback speed" option. It is situated beside the icon of the play button that has half of it dotted. As a default setting, it should be set to "Normal".
4.Pick the "0.25x" option. This is typically the initial choice available. You have the alternative to select either "0.5x" or "0.75x" as well, yet "0.25x" represents the slowest playback speed that you can set for the video.
5.Start playing the video once more. The video will commence playing at a speed of 0.25 times its normal rate.
