How to Make User an Admin on Discord Server?
Discord is a popular free app for voice, video, and text chats, facilitating social interactions in communities and among friends. Running a Discord server alone can be tough due to its wide user base. Delegating server management by giving admin privileges to a user enables them to handle key tasks like server management and discussion moderation, which helps manage your community effectively.

How to promote a user to an admin on Discord for Desktop
Step 1:Open the Discord app or the web - based version.
To start the Discord application on your desktop, find the Discord icon and click on it.
Step 2:Choose your server and right - click to open “Server Settings”.
Look at the left side of the Discord interface. There, you'll see a list of all the servers you've created. Pick the particular server where you want to give admin rights. Right - click on that server. A menu of options will pop up. From this menu, select “Server Settings” to continue.
Step 3:Select 'Roles' from the options and click on the 'Create Role' option.
To manage users effectively on your Discord server, Discord offers the “Roles” feature. To assign a new role to a particular user, just click on the “Create Role” option. It's clearly highlighted within a blue rectangular box, as shown in the image.
Step 4:Name the role “Admin”.
When you click the “Create role” option, a new page will open, showing you a list of options to set up for the role you're creating. On this page, you must enter key details about the role, including the “Role Name,” “Role Colors,” “Display role name option,” and “Allow anyone to @mention this role.” You can come up with a unique admin name, but for this guide, we'll name it “Admin.” At this point, you can also customize the role's color so server members can easily spot the admin among all users. Enabling the display role name option and changing other settings are optional and can be adjusted later based on your needs.
Step 5:Click on “Permissions” and scroll down to “Advanced Permissions”.
Once you click on “Permissions”, you'll encounter multiple sections such as General Server Permissions, Membership Permissions, Text Channel Permissions, Voice Channel Permissions, Events Permissions, and Advanced Permissions. To go straight to the Advanced Permissions section, just scroll down the page.
Step 6:Enable the “Administrator” permission.
When you scroll down to the Advanced Permissions section, you'll find the “Administrator” option, which is disabled by default. You need to enable it by ticking the box next to “Administrator.” Once a user is given this permission, they'll have full control and authority over the entire server.
Step 7:Click “Manage Members” and assign a user to the admin role.
To continue, find and click the “Manage Members” option at the top of the page. Then, choose “Add Members,” which is shown as an option within a blue box. After that, you can select the user you want to make the server admin.
