Sign in, enable Bluetooth and pair
You will need to log into the app using either your Fitbit ID or Google Account. Additionally, ensure that your tracker is powered on and that Bluetooth is activated on both your device and your phone. If this is your first time setting it up, a notification will prompt you to confirm the pairing.
Method 1
The easiest and fastest method to sync is to tap and hold on the app's home screen, then pull down and release. This action will reveal a small progress bar at the top of the app indicating that your device is syncing.
Method 2
Alternatively, you can tap your profile picture in the top left corner of the screen to access your Account menu. Here, you'll find a list of the trackers and/or Fitbit smartwatches linked to your account.
Select the tracker you wish to sync, and you'll be directed to that device's options menu, where you can customize watch faces and interact with apps.
In this menu, you'll find a "Sync Now" option that allows you to initiate a manual sync with your device. That's all there is to it! I’ve explained how to sync your Fitbit with an Android phone here, but the process is quite similar for iOS users. Keep in mind that, over time, Google will begin transitioning users from Fitbit to its own system, which will require a Google Account to access Fitbit’s services.
