Comments on ASR for Android
★★★★★ Just installed this and the quality is good, very good. 16 bit 48 kHz. And it records from both mics in stereo! Great!
★★★★★ This app has been great for recording my college courses among other things. I had a few recordings that came out very hard to hear the professor on and realized turning on the background noise filter while trying to make a different type of recording was the culprit. Since it seems if there's only one voice out shouldn't be filtered out (mind you this was in early 2020, so it may be fixed now) that's the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
★★★★★ GET THIS ONE! This is the only recording app I've found that can record in stereo. It gives lots of options for file formats and sizes, and you can record unprocessed audio, AND add gain to make it louder or quieter. Perfect. I'll be using this for a while.
★★☆☆☆ Voice has echo! Other apps doesn't have anny echo When I decrease 10 dbs in boya microphone, the echo disappears But in normal 0 db, I have echo in my voice recorded
★★☆☆☆ I wish I knew how the Zoom function is supposed to even work? Signal processing or even beam forming? It's not explained. The Zoom slider also can't be changed while recording and monitoring and monitoring with BT headphones causes weird popping and distortions. When I disconnected BT it was playing back through phone speaker while recording, even when I disabled monitoring. Also, no explanation of the different input options. And what is Voice Recognition source supposed to do?
★★☆☆☆ I used to like this ASR Voice Recorder very much, but now, in the recent app upgrades, the "Skip the Silence" feature doesn't work in the free app version anymore!
