Get started with an eSIM

    What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM that connects your devices to the AT&T network. It gives you more flexibility to manage your wireless plan and device.

You download an eSIM and activate it—there’s no need for a physical SIM card.

Some devices with eSIM capabilities can support more than one phone number.

    Get started with an eSIM

Activating a new AT&T phone? Just turn on your new phone and follow the prompts to download your eSIM.

Transferring your number from another provider? Be sure to activate your phone first. Then turn it on and follow the prompts to download your eSIM.

Move my number to another phone

Here's how to move your eSIM (and phone number) between devices:

Start at Bring Your Own Device.

Select Switch the device used on my line.

Follow the prompts to download and activate your eSIM.

This app is garbage. It won't update and freezes when you try to stop it manually. If you're transferring to a new phone, it will keep a pending download on your top bar. You can't get rid of it even if you mute its notifications.

I don't know how to use my phone properly. I was trying to call my friend in Tucson, Arizona but then the dial pad disappeared. It was silent when my friend tried to talk to me and I couldn't turn on the speakerphone. I'm not sure what happened.

So, there's this messaging issue that AT&T put a 90-day limit on without asking me. I've been on hold for almost two hours and will have to call the AT&T BMIoT department later because this app doesn't clearly say it's from AT&T and their messaging app doesn't have in-app help. Another Google Android account won't show 'edit history' - I hope my carrier doesn't delete old reviews. Update: They weren't erased but can be downloaded on Metro by T-Mobile with DTAG Carrier.

I face the same Wi-Fi problems every day. My videos keep buffering and it's so hard to load any website. It's really annoying.

AT&T put too many apps on my new phone from a certain developer, and I can't delete them. Now I don't have space to add my own stuff. The phone won't let me update without removing some of these pre-installed apps.
