Contract Type: contract for a monthly or annual subscription, starting when the transaction is complete.  

Set-up: to get the protection/service started, you must download and install on each device and/or complete set-up.  

Free Trial: payment method required if signing up for a free trial (credit/debit card or PayPal only). When the trial ends, the paid subscription starts and the first term is charged, unless cancelled before. Special offer(s) may expire.  

Renewal Cycle: automatically renews each month or each year after the initial term, unless the subscription renewal is cancelled before the day you are due to be charged in your account or by contacting us.   

Renewal Prices: may be higher than the price for the initial term and are subject to change. They are charged up to 35 days before the annual subscription is due to renew, and we send you a notification email with the renewal price before. They are charged up to 5 days before the monthly subscription is due to renew.  

Cancellation & Refund: you can cancel your contract and request a full refund within 60 days of purchase for annual subscriptions and within 14 days of purchase for monthly subscriptions. For each annual renewal or free trial with paid annual subscription, you can request a full refund within 60 days of being charged, and after the 60 days, a pro-rated refund of the days left in your renewed subscription term, beginning the month after you request the refund. Updates: your subscription may include product, service and/or protection updates, and features that may be added, modified, or removed, subject to the acceptance of the License & Services Agreement.

User Guide

Registering your first device

On installing the app, an Avira account is automatically created.

    1. Open the app.

    2. Tap the user icon in the upper left corner.

    3. Tap Log In.

    4. Tap Register.

    5. Enter your name, email address, then set a password.

(Alternatively, log in with your Facebook or Google account)

    6. Tap Register.

    7. An email will be sent to your specified email address.

    8. Check your email and confirm your Avira account.

The device will then be registered to your My Avira Account.

Remove a registered mobile device from my Avira account

Deletion requires the removal of the specific mobile device from your Avira account and the uninstallation of the Avira app from the device itself.

    1. Log in to your Avira account.

    2. Click Devices in the left menu bar.

    3. Search for the mobile device you want to remove and click View device details.

    4. Hover your mouse over the settings icon  in the top left corner.

    5. Click Remove device.

    6. The device is now removed from your My Avira Account.

    7. Next, you have to delete the Avira app from your mobile device like any other app.

Configure an automatic Avira Phantom VPN connection on your iPhone for untrusted Wi-Fi networks

- Enable VPN auto-connect to untrusted Wi-Fi networks

    1. Open the Avira Phantom VPN app.

    2. Swipe right and tap Auto-connect.

    3. Enable the Auto-connect feature.

- Add known Wi-Fi networks to your trusted Wi-Fi list

    1. Swipe right and tap Auto-connect.

    2. Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to add to trusted Wi-Fi networks.

    3. Tap Add to trusted Wi-Fi networks.

Note: Avira VPN will not connect automatically to Wi-Fi networks added to the trusted list.
