Public Bicycle Transportation System in Buenos Aires City.

The City has its Public Bicycle Transportation System, free of charge, 24 hours a day, all year round. BA Ecobici by Tembici has 4000 bicycles and 400 stations distributed throughout the City, reaching 80% of residents.

Riding a bike improves your health and helps the environment. It saves you time and allows you to connect more and better with the surrounding area. Download the BA Ecobici by Tembici app to enjoy Buenos Aires on two wheels.

It's simple:

Log in using your username and password;

locate the nearest station;

Enter the station number where you are

select "unlock the bicycle" by entering the code on the keypad next to the bike

wait for the green light and sound signal

Ready, start pedaling! To return the bike, simply lock it in an available position at your destination station.

The bikes feature an integrated chain protector, lightweight and durable aluminum frame, high-efficiency brakes, front and rear LED lights powered by a dynamo, three-speed gears, adjustable seat height, and a sturdy basket adaptable to luggage size.

What are the requirements for registration?

a- Download the App: BA Ecobici, from the PlayStore or AppStore. Register with your ID and credit or debit card..

You have the option of opening a free account from the app, with no maintenance cost and without leaving your home. It includes a debit card and a savings account in pesos.

c- In-person registration: it is only with previous appointment, you can request it in our chat channel. On the assigned day you must present yourself with the following documentation:

Original ID card.

Cell phone that can receive SMS and email.

A service in your name or with the same address that appears on your ID card. Remember that the service must be at most 2 months old. The address must be within the Argentine Republic. Or proof of address, issued by the Federal Police.

Minors from 16 to 18 years of age, ONLY PRESENT REGISTRATION

They must be accompanied on the day of the shift by a parent, guardian or legal guardian with the following documentation:

Birth certificate of the minor or documentation that accredits the link.

Original DNI issued by the Ministry of the Interior of the Argentine Republic (of the adult and minor to be registered).

Service in the name of the guardian, with the same address that appears in the DNI (It must be no older than 2 months. The address must be within the Republic of Argentina).

Cell phone that can receive SMS and MAIL, both from the minor and the adult.

Credit or debit card.

Registration with precarious registration, ONLY PRESENT REGISTRATION

On the day of the assigned shift they must present:

Valid passport.

Certificate of Precarious Residence.

Certificate of domicile, issued by the police.

Foreign citizens, REGISTRATION BY APP

They will be requested:

International credit card.

Valid passport.

Residence address in Buenos Aires.

FAQs

Why was my credit card charged when I registered?

The amount charged is to corroborate that your credit/debit card is valid. This amount will be refunded to you automatically.

What happens if I forget my password?

If you forgot your password you can recover it through the BA Ecobici by Tembici App, in login > Recover password. The password must not be the same as the previous one and must have at least 8 characters including 1 letter, 1 number, 1 special character (@#$%^& =) and 1 capital letter.

What happens if the credit card I registered with expires?

If your credit/debit card reaches its expiration date, you can edit the card in your App profile. Please note that, in the meantime, you will not be able to use the bikes.

1- Login to your profile from the APP.

2- Click on Passes and Payment.

3- Select “Edit” and add your new card details.
