Gameplay Guide

The object of the game is move all your checkers into your own home board and then bear them off. The first player to bear off all of their checkers wins the game.

To start the game, each player throws a single die. This determines both the player to go first and the numbers to be played. If equal numbers come up, then both players roll again until they roll different numbers. The player throwing the higher number now moves his checkers according to the numbers showing on both dice. After the first roll, the players throw two dice and alternate turns.

The roll of the dice indicates how many points, or pips, the player is to move his checkers. The checkers are always moved forward, to a lower-numbered point. The following rules apply:

1.A checker may be moved only to an open point, one that is not occupied by two or more opposing checkers.

2.The numbers on the two dice constitute separate moves. For example, if a player rolls 5 and 3, he may move one checker five spaces to an open point and another checker three spaces to an open point, or he may move the one checker a total of eight spaces to an open point, but only if the intermediate point (either three or five spaces from the starting point) is also open.

3.A player who rolls doubles plays the numbers shown on the dice twice. A roll of 6 and 6 means that the player has four sixes to use, and he may move any combination of checkers he feels appropriate to complete this requirement.

4.A player must use both numbers of a roll if this is legally possible (or all four numbers of a double). When only one number can be played, the player must play that number. Or if either number can be played but not both, the player must play the larger one. When neither number can be used, the player loses his turn. In the case of doubles, when all four numbers cannot be played, the player must play as many numbers as he can.

Once a player has moved all of his fifteen checkers into his home board, he may commence bearing off. A player bears off a checker by rolling a number that corresponds to the point on which the checker resides, and then removing that checker from the board. Thus, rolling a 6 permits the player to remove a checker from the six point.

If there is no checker on the point indicated by the roll, the player must make a legal move using a checker on a higher-numbered point. If there are no checkers on higher-numbered points, the player is permitted (and required) to remove a checker from the highest point on which one of his checkers resides. A player is under no obligation to bear off if he can make an otherwise legal move.

I looked at the statistics and took screenshots constantly. By the time the game was over, my opponent had made 50 more moves than me. What's the purpose of playing such a game? The developers can't seem to make the dice roll randomly. It feels like they want to determine the winner of each game. I'm deleting it now. I might check back later to see if anything has changed. I might give it another try.

Oh no, it's so frustrating! The game seems to favor the AI no matter what, right? It feels like they get all the good rolls while we're left struggling with just a few lucky ones. And don't even get me started on the lack of a full auto bear option – it's really missing. To top it off, those latest updates have made things worse with all the freezing, especially when the AI gets doubles. It can really mess things up and bring the game to a standstill.

I really enjoy playing against others locally using LAN or Bluetooth. It's a lot of fun! I'm still trying to understand how to play against people online though. I'll keep you posted as I learn more about it.

Nope, it's not 18 unique games. A few of them are just the same game but with a different name or maybe tweaked rules someone thought up. Definitely wasn't what I had in mind. Also, when you mentioned "Backgammon," "BG to lose," and "Old English Backgammon," I couldn't see any distinctions between them. Like, seriously, were they supposed to be different? And what about "Plakoto" versus "Plakoto 2"? Are there even any differences there? Oh, and if we're talking about rules by country, Plakoto is from MY country, and "Plakoto express" isn't even a thing in our rulebook here!

What a fantastic app! It offers various multiplayer modes such as online play, two people on one device, and two individuals connecting with their own devices via Bluetooth. The app is excellent for backgammon enthusiasts due to its precise controls. Here are some suggestions for improvements: 1.Implement a feature where inactive players in an online game are automatically kicked out after a reasonable period of inactivity, like 60-90 seconds without rolling the dice. 2.Provide a black list option to mute or block users who send inappropriate or offensive messages through the in-game chat. Thank you to the developers for their hard work on this amazing app!

The best backgammon game on mobile, hands down. However, there seem to be some issues with the multiplayer (online) mode. Fingers crossed it gets sorted out soon!

It's been almost a year since I tried to work together with the game creator to make things better. But now, I have made up my mind to fix my review. Instead of focusing on linking dice, users, board positions, and neural networks, the developer should concentrate on enhancing the design and functionality. It is just not right and it's not okay: using artificial intelligence to meddle with what is supposed to be RANDOM! Surprisingly, a simple string of numbers in the app's chat can actually interfere with how the dice roll.

Yeah, so here's the deal. They keep saying it - dice are supposed to be random, right? But come on! I always seem to roll 1 and 2 or 2 and 1 while the game gets those lucky doubles exactly when it needs them. And surprise, surprise, I end up losing every time. Plus, can we talk about the graphics? Nothing special there, pretty ordinary if you ask me. Nice effort, but didn't quite hit the mark.

I really like this app. The game is great and I love all the different styles and variety of Backgammon. I never get bored of playing it. I gave it 5 stars because I think it's a top-rated app in every way. All aspects are excellent.
