Game Rules

Board and Pieces:

Each player has 15 pieces, usually black or white.

The board is divided into four areas, each player has a "home area" and an "opponent's home area", and pieces are moved from the opponent's home area to their own home area.

Initial layout:

The pieces are placed in a specific starting position. For example, the white player places 5 pieces in the upper left corner, 5 pieces in the lower right of the center divider, 2 pieces in the upper right corner, and 3 pieces in the lower two spaces to the left of the center divider.

Game Goal:

Move all pieces to your home area and remove them from the board (called "bear off").

Movement Rules:

When it is a player's turn, roll two dice and move the pieces according to the dice points.

The player can choose to move the same piece twice, or move the two pieces separately.

If the dice is rolled double (the points of both dice are the same), the player can move four times.

Capture and resurrection:

If a player's chess piece moves to a position where the opponent has only one chess piece, the opponent's chess piece can be "captured" and the opponent's chess piece will be placed on the "bar".

The captured chess piece needs to re-enter the game, and the entry position is determined by rolling the dice.

Remove chess pieces (bear off):

When all chess pieces enter the home area, players can start removing chess pieces.

The value of the dice determines which area the chess piece can be removed from.

How to play

Preparation:

Each person grabs 15 chess pieces and prepares two dice.

Place the chess pieces according to the rules, and roll the dice to decide who goes first.

Game process:

When it is the player's turn, roll the dice and move the chess piece according to the points.

Try to move the chess piece to your home area and start removing chess pieces.

Prevent the opponent from eating your own chess pieces, and look for opportunities to eat the opponent's chess pieces.

Winning conditions:

The first player to remove all chess pieces from the board wins.

Notes

Quick resurrection:

If there are chess pieces on the bar, they should be put back into the game as soon as possible to avoid wasting turns.

Resurrection near home:

Try to place the resurrected chess pieces close to your home area to facilitate subsequent movement.

Avoid lonely chess pieces:

Try to avoid leaving chess pieces alone in one position to avoid being eaten by the opponent.

Flexible movement:

If the dice points cannot be used directly, you can choose to remove chess pieces from a smaller area.

Record movement:

Use the movement recording function in the game to facilitate analysis and learning.
