3. Based on electricity prices correct as of 09/07/2024. When you plug in your EV for 6 hours or more covering the period of 12am to 5am, you’ll qualify for a 4p credit towards your EV tariff night rate of 7.9p/kWh for all electrical consumption. 4p/kWh credit also applies at any other time of day on any other British Gas electricity tariff if your EV is left plugged in for 6 hours or more.  By managing your charger with Hive SmartCharge we’ll give you a credit each month with money back directly on your British Gas bill.

    It works now! Got 4 stars. Finally improved after update. Can login smoothly, fingerprint works, not logging out randomly. Reset password issue fixed. Phone code now works too. Now can easily top up pre-pay meter! Thanks for the improvement!"

    I can't top up my meter automatically now. I have to go outside in the cold and rain to enter the 16 digit code. I contacted support, but 10 days have passed since they said it would be fixed in 7 days... It's still not working. The app doesn't show my balance or the top-ups since mid-October. Total hassle!

    The user wanted the login process to be easier by having both the email and password boxes on the same page instead of multiple pages with unnecessary statements. They appreciated that British Gas seemed to listen to their feedback and made the necessary changes.

    We could log in easily for a bit, but we all know that's gonna change with the next update. Can we have an app that shows our smart meter balance accurately and in real time? Enough of the guesses from a week ago we've been dealing with for a decade! I've increased my rating from 1 to 3 stars now that I can finally access the app.

    BG replied and suggested using their website while they fix the app issues. I think they should let users keep using the old app until everything is fixed properly. The annoying part is having to set a target that you can't turn off. It's been 5 years now (2024) and the app still isn't working. Also, I can only see gas usage, not electricity, and it's always a week late.

    The app runs really slow. Sometimes when I try to log in, it just sends me back to the log-in page after waiting for ages. Occasionally, it apologizes for the delay and then tells me it couldn't access my account. I've tried reinstalling the app multiple times and double-checked my log-in information, but it's still a struggle to use most of the time.
