FAQ

What if the videos aren't playing properly

If the videos seem to have playback issues, it is likely due to a problem caused by WebView. To fix it please try the following methods:

1. Delete the Chrome app and reinstall it. If you can't uninstall it please update it.

*The following instructions are for the unsinstalling method.

    - Go to the Chrome app on Google Play.

    - Press "Uninstall"

    - Press "Uninstall" after reading "Do you want to uninstall all updates to this Android system app?"

    - Press "Update" when the app finishes uninstalling.

2. Turn your phone off and then turn it on again.

3. Restart the Cake app.

Please note that the Cake developers cannot completely resolve this issue as it is caused by a service that isn't our own.

What if the videos have no sound. / the video quality is bad

⚠ If you have any issues playing videos, please answer the following and contact us through [Profile > Settings > Report a Problem]. It will be helpful if you include a screen capture with your email.

1. Do you have issues with every video, or is it just one specific video?

2. If there is a notice that you must update your operating system, please proceed with the update.

3. Does the problem happen whether you use data or WiFi?

4. Does the problem persist even if you turn your device on and off?

5. Does the problem persist even if you reinstall the app? (If you have been using Guest Mode, your learning history will not be saved if you delete the app.)

What of there's a problem with the voice recognition.

⚠ If you have any issues with voice recognition, please answer the following and contact us through [Profile > Settings > Report a problem]. It will be helpful if you include a screen capture with your email.

1. Do you have issues with every speaking content, or is there a specific one?

2. Are you using your device's microphone, or is it an external microphone?

3. Sometimes issues arise if you speak too quickly after pressing the speak button. Does the problem persist if you wait 1 second before talking?

4. Does the problem persist if you press the speaking button yourself after talking, instead of waiting for the app to recognize your voice?

What if the screen looks broken or enlarged.

If you you have issues where the text in the app looks enlarged and cut off, the problem should be solved by restarting your device. If the problem persists, please contact us through [Profile > Settings > Report a problem.] It would be helpful if you include a screen capture of the issue.

What if I can't play the videos. (Infinite loading/error message)

⚠ If you cannot play any videos on the app, please check the following, or email us with your detailed situation through [Profile > Settings > Report a problem].

1. Please check if other functions in the app work normally, such as quizzes, conversation with Jake, Today's Conversation, Speak, etc.
