This app enables you to link your DSLR camera to your phone using USB or Wi-Fi. Furthermore, it allows you to connect your Chromecast for sharing real-time images with others (known as Tethered shooting). It revolutionizes the use of GPS and Wi-Fi for your DSLR.

Additionally, this app may utilize foreground services to maintain the phone-camera connection, prompting a notification. The tasks can continue even when the app runs in the background or the screen is off, until completion or notification dismissal. Foreground service usage includes file downloads, location tracking for sending GPS tags to the camera, interval captures, and focus stacking.
Supported Cameras (Note: Your mobile device must support USB host mode for USB connections):
Sony: Cameras with the 'Smart Remote Control' app like Alpha 6300
Nikon: Various models including Df, D3, D4, D5, D90, and more
Canon: Including EOS R, EOS R5, EOS R6, Rebel series, and others, with specific connectivity options mentioned (Wi-Fi, USB, using accessory devices)
Manual - Connecting
Tips & tricks
1. Turn wifi off and on again to reset the wifi connection.
2. Turn 'Mobile data' off if you have a Nikon and your camera is not found.
3. Turn on 'Location services' to see the name of the current wifi. Without this option it is also not possible to search for other hotspots.
4. Use the mobile hotspot of your phone to get a faster connection and to use your camera on the go while still be able to use internet.
Connection screen
1. Open the menu

3. SSID of your current network
4. Open wifi settings
5. The app will search automatically for cameras in the current network. It will also search for camera hotspots and connect to these hotspots.
6. You can connect to a camera in your current wifi by entering its IP address. The app will not search and connect to hotspots automatically.
7. Click here to reinitiate the usb connection.
Connection menu

3. Remove all thumbs and object infos from the local database
4. Open this manual inside the app. This will require internet connection if you haven't opened before.
5. Show the settings page
Connect to Canon
Step 1 Select 'Wi-Fi connection' from the menu.
Step 2 Select 'EOS Utility'. If it is not available select 'Smartphone'
Step 3 Wait until this screen appears. Open the app if not already open. Select 'Switch network' to connect to a local network or to the 'Mobile Hotspot' of your phone.
Step 4 Enter the password from the previous step and press OK. If the app does not find the cameras hotspot then open the wifi settings of your phone and connect manually to the desired hotspot.
Step 5 Press OK to proceed.
Step 6 When the app tries to connect the first time the camera will ask to acknowledge the connection. Press OK to complete the connection process.
Connect to Nikon
Step 1 Select 'Wi-Fi' from the menu.
Step 2 Enable Wi-Fi
Step 3 If the cameras hotspot is not found automatically then open wifi settings and connect manually.
Step 4 If cameras hotspot is found press 'Connect'.
Step 5 If your phone is already connected to the cameras hotspot but camera is still not found select 'Manual connection' and enter the ip address of your camera. If you still do not get a connection turn off 'Mobile Data' of your phone.
Connect to Sony
Step 1 Open 'PlayMemories Camera Apps' to update 'Smart Remote Control' to the newest version. This must be done once due to Sony delivering their cameras with outdated Software.
Step 2 Open 'Smart Remote Control'
Step 3 Press to see the password of the cameras hotspot.
Step 4 Enter the password from the prevous step.
Step 5 Press 'Connect' to complete the procedure.
Connect to 'Mobile Hotspot'
Step 1 Activate 'Mobile Hotspot' on your phone.
Step 2 Make sure the app shows 'Mobile hotspot' instead of the current network.
Step 3 Select your previous created RupiApps connection. Then press 'Switch network'.
Step 4 Select the SSID of your mobile hotspot from the list of networks. Then enter the password to complete the procedure.
Connect via Usb
Step 1 Connect your camera with the cable that came with your camera. Then turn on the camera.
Step 2 Open the app and select 'Usb connection'. If a dialog appears check 'Always...' and press OK. If nothing happens make sure your phone supports Usb host mode.
