Call Log and SMS cleaning in CCleaner Android

Both call logs and SMS messages can be cleaned with CCleaner for Android.

Note: SMS cleaning is only available on Android versions v4.0-v4.1. In Android v4.2, Google removed the ability for 3rd-party apps to delete SMS messages.

To view your call logs/SMS, tap Analyse at the bottom of the screen. CCleaner will then analyse your device and find data to clean.

Tapping on the larger Call Logs or SMS box brings up a list of Call Logs/SMS which can be deleted individually. Tapping on the check box brings up the following options, sorted by Incoming, Outgoing and Missed:

- Older than 3 months

- Older than 1 month

- Older than 2 weeks

- All

- Nothing

Once you have selected what you want to clean, tap Clean in order to delete the selected call logs/SMS. Note that this will also delete anything else you might have selected to clean, such as cache, browser history etc.

Can I exclude apps from the effects of Booster?

Yes. The first time you use Booster from the side menu, you are prompted to use the Memory Booster Check which enables you to untick any apps that you do not want to be affected by the Boost Memory feature. By default, all non-system apps are ticked. Turn the Memory Booster Check option CCleaner ON in your CCleaner Android settings so that each time you run a boost, you can review which apps will be affected and untick any that you do not want to be stopped on that occasion.

How can I activate a previously purchased CCleaner Android Pro subscription on an alternative device?

Your CCleaner Android Pro subscription automatically activates on all devices that are signed into the Google account you purchased the subscription from. If you already have a subscription but the premium features are not available in the app, ensure that you are signed into the correct account in Google Play Store.

Alternatively, manually check for a valid subscription by following these steps:

- Tap the CCleaner menu icon at the top-left of the app interface.

- Tap Settings, then tap Subscription.

- Tap Restore previous purchase.

CCleaner Android checks for a subscription registered to the Google account you are currently signed into and activates it on your device.

    This app is really great for cleaning up your data quickly and efficiently. It has a lot of useful features like uninstalling apps, optimizing storage by scanning old photos and videos, checking app usage, and managing media files. Most of these features are free to use manually, but if you upgrade to premium, you can enjoy automatic scans which are definitely worth it. If you have a PC, you should also check out cCleaner for desktop, it's an excellent service.

    I always liked using CCleaner, but now they are making me watch a video ad which interrupts my experience. I didn't have a problem with the banner ads before, but this is just annoying. I am taking away 3 stars because of this. And because of it, when I reset my phone tomorrow, I won't be reinstalling the app. They have lost me as a long-time fan.

    I got this app to clear the cache on my apps due to storage issues. But, turns out that feature is paid, which wasn't mentioned before download. They want me to rate it quickly, push other downloads and premium services even though there are already ads. It's annoying how greedy companies can be.

    This junk cleaner I use is the best ever, even the basic version. It's easy to use and has many features like speeding up, securing, viewing files, removing app duplicates, and consolidating. The premium version is also great and reasonably priced. I bought a license a few years back and was able to use it on multiple devices. I suggest this product to beginners because it provides clear information.

    The app keeps freezing and doesn't close apps. Both the paid and free versions have the same problem. I paid for a year but the product didn't work well, so I switched back to the free version. Sometimes the cleaner and boost features work, other times they don't do anything. I wait but often get a message saying 0 out of 21 apps were stopped, so I have to stop them myself. The only thing that never has issues is the ads. Uninstalled!

    I'm done with this mobile game. The ads are way too long and annoying, especially when they take you to an external page even after you've waited and clicked to close them. It feels like a scam. On top of that, the user interface is terrible. It keeps showing you how much data it will delete, then you have to confirm, only to be shown the same info again before confirming once more. It's a poorly designed app. Time to find something else.

    Initially, I rated it 5 stars and was very happy with it. However, due to some service issues after a few months, I downgraded my rating to 1 star. Although I received a free trial later on, I don't plan on upgrading to the pro version anytime soon. I'm worried about purchasing it again and not being able to use it for another 8 months. Regardless, it's a fantastic app. I appreciate its ability to clean cache, optimize all apps, boost memory, and more in one go. Additionally, I believe it enhances my photos in some way.
