Tips for Checkers Clash

Start with Classic Checkers

Pick the 1-suit Classic mode (8x8 board) to get comfortable. It’s simpler than International Checkers (10x10, multi-jumps), letting you focus on basic moves: diagonal pawn shifts and single captures.

Control the Center Early

Move pawns from squares 11, 12, 13, or 14 (bottom row, numbered left to right) toward the middle (e.g., 15 or 16). This limits your opponent’s options and sets up double-corner traps later.

Force Captures to Your Advantage

The game requires you to jump when possible (no choice like IRL checkers). Position pawns to bait opponents into jumps that expose their pieces—like moving a pawn to 15, tempting them to jump from 19 to 10, then counter-jumping with another pawn.
