How to disable ads in the Read for Free app?

This app exists only because it displays ads. To disable ads, you must pay for a subscription to Read without Ads .

Attention! Previously, the subscription worked using Google services. Due to restrictions on Google Pay in the Russian Federation, the subscription format has temporarily changed. To pay for a subscription:

1. Top up your Litres account. The top-up amount depends on the preferred subscription term. RUB 10 — 24 hours, RUB 270 — 1 month, RUB 546 — 6 months.

2. Contact Litres support via a convenient communication channel. You can write to us at help@litres.ru or in private messages in the VKontakte group .

ERROR: SUBSCRIPTION DOESN'T WORK

Please set the date and time settings on your device to receive the time zone and date/time automatically. Then restart the app and check access to the subscription.

If these steps do not help, contact support directly from the app, specifying in the email the subject " Subscription does not work ". To do this, go to the Profile section and click the Report a problem button . Be prepared to provide a receipt for payment for the current subscription.

Where can I find a receipt for my Google Play subscription?

The receipt is sent to the email address linked to your Google account.

If you accidentally deleted the receipt, you can find the purchase confirmation in your Google Play order history. You can find more information in Google Help .

How to disable automatic subscription renewal in the Read for Free app?

You can turn off automatic subscription renewal in your Google account. For detailed information on managing subscriptions, see Google Help .

If you have difficulty turning off automatic renewal yourself, contact support directly from the app. In the subject line, indicate "Turn off automatic subscription renewal". To send a letter from the app:

Version 3.4 and below

Go to the Profile section and click on the email address android_free@litres.ru .

Version 3.7 and above

Go to the Profile section and click on the Report a problem button .

How to Make In-App Purchases on Android (2022)

Even with the restrictions, our app remains available for download and update, and previously purchased books always remain with you. However, there may be some difficulties when paying for books, so in this article we will tell you about alternative ways to purchase. 

💬 Please note that you can also purchase books on the  litres.ru website by logging in using the application without using a login and password (you can find out more about this in this article ). 

PAYMENT VIA GOOGLE PLAY

Due to restrictions of a number of payment systems, payment via Google Play is not available. However, you can still purchase books through the application using other payment methods:

- By bank card .

- By means of electronic payment systems  YuMoney .

- Sberbank "Thank You" bonuses.

- With funds from the Litres account .

INTERNATIONAL VERSION OF THE APPLICATION (GLOBAL)

In this version, payment is only possible via Google Play, and there will be no difficulties with payments.

How can I find out the version of the application? - The information will be indicated in the " Profile " section .

PAYMENT WITH FOREIGN BANK CARDS

Payment with a foreign bank card remains possible through the following services:

1. PayPal.  This payment method is presented in a special section. You can find out about the payment procedure through the PayPal service  here .

2. Litres account balance.  You can also use any of the above methods to top up your account's internal account and then pay for purchases from it. You can top up your account balance in the "Profile" section by clicking the button

Pay with PayPal in Android App

1. On the page of the selected book, click “ Buy and read for *** rubles .”

2. In the window that opens, click the " Change " button if PayPal is not set as the default payment method.

3. From the list of payment methods, select " PayPal ".

4. After selecting PayPal, click the button

5. On the next page, click “ Pay with PayPal ” and follow the instructions from the payment system.

Payment with Sberbank's "Thank You" bonuses in the Android app

Please note:  you can only pay with “Thank You” bonuses up to 99%, where 1% will be an additional payment in rubles, but not less than 1 ruble.

1. Find and open the required book in the catalog.

2. Open All payment methods and select Buy from the options offered, click Proceed to payment .

3. Change the payment method to SberSpasibo .

4. Click Pay via Sberbank Online .

5. You will be redirected to the bank application on the payment page.

6. Move the toggle switch next to bonuses to the active position. If you want to pay the full amount in cash, without using Thank You bonuses, move the toggle switch with bonuses to the inactive position.

💬 Please note: if the Thank You bonuses are not enough to pay for the purchase, the remaining amount will be debited from your card.

Payment from a Litres account in the Android app

The Android app allows you to purchase books from your internal Litres account. You can see the amount of funds in your account in the  Profile  section of the app:

To pay for a book using funds from your account:

1. Click the  Buy for... button  on the page of the book you need. 2. You will be asked to pay for the purchase using funds from your Litres account. Confirm the purchase by clicking the OK button  .

The cost of the selected book must be less than or equal to the amount on your account. If the cost of the selected book is higher, you will be asked to pay the difference.

3. You can start reading/listening to the book immediately on the same page or later at any time from the  My Books section - My .

Purchase via ЮMoney in the Android app

1. On the page of the selected book, click “ Buy and read for *** rubles .”

2. In the window that opens, click the “ Change ” button if YuMoney is not set as the default payment method.

3. In the list of payment methods, select  ЮMoney.

4. After selecting ЮMoney, click the button

5. On the page that opens, click the “ Pay ” button and follow the further instructions of the payment platform.
