Citybus routes on NWFB

Citybus routes are available on NWFB, including regular routes, school routes, and other special promotions such as “Hong Kong Children’s Day”, “National Day” and “Chinese New Year”.

Display the nearest bus stop of your current location to the bus stop that you want to travel. 

All you need to do is tap a route to display the full route list and ETA for that route in a route list.

Bookmark routes that you frequently use and travel in a comfortable way.

ETA of selected stops can also be retrieved by tapping a route.

Bookmark and History functions to manage and keep track of all your routes.

Nearby bus stop on the map

A map with bus stop icons has been added at the bottom of the screen

Click a bus stop icon to get the full list of routes calling this bus stop, ETA, and nearest bus stop.

1.Next Bus Arrival Time Enquiry function with driving status of the bus

- Show ETA of the next 3 arrivals within 60 minutes for all Citybus routes, including KMB and Long Win departures for jointly operated routes. Also display the ETA of Kowloon Motor Bus/Long Win Bus, New Lantao Bus, and Green minibuses from Data.gov.hk.

- Show actual distance between the current location of the bus and the selected stop on Citybus routes. Notify users of delays or if the bus cannot continue its journey.

- Customize ETA display in either "countdown minutes" or "arrival time".

2.Nearby Route search, get ETA of all franchised buses and minibus routes nearby

- Display next bus ETA and nearest bus stop of all routes within a 400m radius from the current or selected location.

- Prioritize bookmarked or frequently checked routes at the top of the list.

- Manage bookmarked or checked routes in the "Bookmark" and "History" pages.

3.Find Nearby Bus Stop on map

- Click on a bus stop on the map to view all routes calling that bus stop and the next bus ETA.

4.Powerful Bookmark function with push notification on latest news

- Retrieve next bus ETA of desired routes in the "Bookmark" page after bookmarking a route and bus stop. Rearrange bookmarks as per preference.

- Receive route-specific customer notices and special arrangements via push notifications.

- Bookmark origin and destination to expedite nearby bus stop search and point-to-point search.

5.Look for ETA by destination

- Use the "Destination" button to find direct Citybus routes from the user's current location to the selected destination, along with ETA to the nearest bus stop.

- In case of no direct route, suggest a combination of Citybus routes to reach the destination.

6.Intelligent Point to Point Route Search

- Display the fastest, cheapest, or least walking required Citybus routes based on the selected travel time.

- Provide estimated journey time integrating timetable, historical bus journey times, ETA, and user walking time. Include Octopus interchange and fare concessions when displaying fare information.

7.Alight reminder

- Set up to 10 alight reminders in 2 phases according to the distance to the bus stop. Reminders auto-delete upon arrival.

8.Instant Traffic News

- Share special traffic news from Transport Department & Citybus.

9.Fare Concession

- Easily access the Citybus fare concession page for various bus-bus interchange and other fare discounts.

Remarks:

* Automatic search for nearest routes and bus stops uses the device's location service.

* Alight reminder feature uses the device's location service continuously until reaching the selected bus stop, which may consume battery.

* Next bus ETA, alight reminders, and point-to-point search results are indicative and subject to traffic conditions.
