This rendition of the game is known as Klondike or the Patience game. The regulations resemble those of Microsoft Solitaire Collection. Initially, all cards are arranged in four stacks in a random order and must eventually be sequenced in ascending order, commencing with the ace and concluding with the lowest card, ensuring each stack contains cards of a specific suit. The player will amass more points by completing the game swiftly.

Understanding Klondike

Klondike is a classic solitaire card game that is played with a standard 52-card deck. The goal of the game is to move all the cards to the foundation piles, which are built up in suit from Ace to King.

Setup for Klondike

To set up Klondike, shuffle the deck and deal out 28 cards into seven piles, in the following manner, called a tableau:

The first pile (left to right) includes one card

The second pile includes two cards

The third pile includes three cards

And so on, up to the seventh pile, which includes seven cards.

Turn the top card on each pile face up, so that there are seven face-up cards. You will also start a stock pile to draw new cards from and reserve a space for your discard, or waste, pile.

Gameplay Instructions

Once the layout is set up, follow these steps to start playing:

Step 1: Draw from the stock and place playable cards appropriately. First, see if it can be played on the foundation piles. If not, find a spot in one of the seven columns. If the card is still unplayable, place it in the waste pile. Whether drawing one or three cards at a time, remain consistent throughout the game.

Step 2: Build the tableaus using cards of alternating color and in descending order. Card sets can be moved from one tableau to another to free up unexposed cards.

Step 3: Once a tableau is empty, keep using that spot by putting a King there. it can be filled with either a King or sets of cards from another tableau that has a King at the head.

Step 4: Deal cards from the stock to the waste pile one or three at a time, depending on which draw option you choose.

Step 5: Whenever a spot opens up, the top card of the waste pile can be played on the foundation piles or tableaus.

Step 6: When the stock is empty, the waste pile is reused as the new stock. Repeat these steps until there are no more moves.

To win at Klondike Solitaire, order a deck of 52 cards into the four foundation piles. If the foundations aren’t finished and you can’t make any more moves, the game is over.

Layout

The classic Klondike Solitaire layout consists of four components:

Stock: The shuffled deck from which cards are drawn, either one or three at a time. The added challenge of the three-card draw attracts experienced players, but beginners often opt for the one-card draw.

Foundations: Four suited piles are the final destination for all the cards in the deck. They’re organized according to suit and they’re built in ascending numerical order from ace to King.

Tableaus: Seven columns store cards until they can be moved to their final destination. The tableau on the left has one card that is face-up. Moving to the right from there, each column increases by an additional card. These cards are face-down, but the final card on each column is dealt face-up. Tableaus are built in numerical order opposite from the foundations, descending from King to ace. Within each column, the cards are organized in opposing color order with no regard to suit. Red cards can only be played on black cards and black cards can only be played on red cards.

Waste: Receives cards dealt from the stock that can’t be played on the tableaus or foundation piles. Once the stock is fully dealt, the waste pile is reused as the stock pile to continue the game.

Strategies and Tips for Be'g'inner's

Playing Klondike is all about strategy and making the right moves at the right time. Here are some tips to help you improve your game:

Focus on building descending sequences: One of the most important strategies in Klondike solitaire is to focus on building descending sequences of cards on the tableau. This means that you should try to place cards in descending order, alternating between red and black suits. For example, if you have a black 6, you can place a red 5 on top of it.

Expose larger stacks first: When you’re targeting hidden cards to expose, it’s always recommended that you choose columns with huge stacks behind their current face cards. Whittling down these columns of hidden cards as soon as possible always has a better chance of revealing useful cards you can use to build piles of revealed cards.

Start with just the seven columns: Once the Solitaire game is laid out, focus on moving cards that are in the seven columns before drawing from the hand, so that more cards in the columns can be exposed.

Don’t move cards to the foundation too soon: It’s important to avoid moving cards to the foundation too soon. Instead, try to keep cards in the tableau as long as possible, so that you can build longer descending sequences and expose more cards.

Use the stock pile wisely: As you play the game, keep an eye on the stock pile. If it starts to get low, you may need to start moving cards around on the tableau to free up space for new cards.

Take your time: Klondike solitaire is a game that requires patience and careful planning. Don’t rush through your moves or make impulsive decisions. Take your time and think through each move carefully.

PATIENCE HIGHLIGHTS:

♠ Timeless Solitaire gameplay (reminiscent of the nostalgic Microsoft Solitaire Collection):🃏 Klondike Solitaire employs a standard 52-card deck excluding jokers. The aim is to reveal all cards and transfer them to the foundation piles. There are 4 foundation piles (one for each suit) denoted by an “A” on the screen. These piles progress upwards by suit from Aces to Kings.

In this Patience Classic Solitaire, 7 tableau columns are constructed downward (from Kings to Aces) alternating between colors (red and black). The objective is to clear all rows into suitable foundation piles.

Tried to open the app but it didn't work, so I gave up after five attempts and deleted it. This has never happened to me before. Just a waste of time.

I'm tired of apps saying NO ADS, but then there are still ads! It's false advertising and someone should sue them.

Really enjoy playing all the solitaire games. If there are too many ads, I may delete them, but they are really fun, entertaining, and relaxing. I could play them all day long. Thank you.

Playing Solitaire is great, but there are so many annoying commercials. And if you don't select the game right away, it forces you to play it anyhow, which can be frustrating. Another drawback is that sometimes you can't play offline.

Got this game a while ago and loved it. It has really helped with my anxiety. But now whenever I try to open it, just get stuck on the Homa games screen with the green background and an ad at the bottom. Nothing else happens. Need this issue sorted out quickly.

I dislike this app. They pay with PayPal cards, but you must watch numerous ads to earn points. I spent all day and night viewing ads until I collected over 1000 points twice. I won PayPal cards worth 1000, 500, and 300. When I tried to claim my prize, it was always processing. I waited for over 7 days but received no payment, just a timer that resets. Then, the waiting game continues as the timer starts again.
