3. I see just a bare map. Where is the weather map image?

It might mean that the are on the screen has clear skies. To make sure that's it, you're welcome to zoom the map out to compare it with other zones in the country. In rare cases, there's no precipitation at all around the country.

Recently I got this new app. At first impression, it seems good. But, the more I use it, the more I realize I need time to adapt. One irritating thing is that even after updating my main location, it still switches back to a different one far from me. On June 16, 2019, it seemed okay but not as up-to-date as my other weather apps. I purchased it, but frankly, it's not meeting my expectations. It claims a connection with NOAA, but lacks real-time updates, which feels misleading to me.

The app was great before. I've paid for it for years. But now the interface is really hard to use. It suddenly changed to metric units and I had a hard time switching it back. The radar often doesn't load properly and there are blank areas on the screen. It only shows past storm movements, not future ones. There are better free apps out there. I've uninstalled it and canceled my subscription.

You download the app and then suddenly you're hit with a nonrefundable charge after just 3 days. That's too short! They start charging your Google Play account without warning, even though I thought there was a free version. I can't find it though. Remember when you could try things out before committing to pay? Update: You can skip the "free trial offer" screens to test the app, but there are lots of ads. I don't mind paying for apps I like, but I prefer to test them out first.

I've used the app for more than a year and I'm quite pleased with it. The app works well and doesn't drain my battery like other weather apps. My favorite feature is the lightning notification - it alerts me shortly after lightning strikes! Two things bother me though: 1) The highs and lows for "today" often differ by 2-3 degrees from the hourly estimates. 2) The radar animation moves too slowly. It would be nice to have a speed control for that in the future.
