CNN - News updates & videos

Yesterday, the app suddenly stopped working. Whenever I tried to check a news alert notification, it showed a big exclamation point and said, "Unknown Error Try Again." Even after restarting my phone, the problem persisted. So, I'll uninstall and then reinstall the app to see if that helps. Kindly look into this matter and resolve it promptly. Thank you.

The app is currently not working on mobile data, crashing and only functioning on wifi since the latest update. This issue did not occur before the recent update. The app gets stuck on the CNN logo, indicating it is for CNN but fails to proceed further. An updated version of the app is needed to resolve this problem.

I prefer reading articles over watching videos on CNN. Most articles on the website are only available as videos, which use a lot of data due to high resolution. Unfortunately, there is no option to adjust the video quality. This causes issues for those with slow internet speeds like me, leading to buffering and crashes. However, I still want access to video content. Having a choice between text and video for each article, along with the ability to adjust video quality, would be beneficial.

I really like it! The only problem is sometimes when I try to go back after reading an article, it shows "weak signal." But my signal strength is full and I'm using 5G. I have two top-notch phones, so this can't be happening. Can you please solve this? Thank you!

The CNN app used to work fine, but now it's not so great. When you finish reading an article and try to go back, you're taken to the top of the section instead of where you left off. It was perfectly fine before, so there was no need for change. Updates should make things better, not mess with how things worked.

Had this app previously but deleted it due to ads playing smoothly but videos buffering. Ended up watching ads without any video content. Now, no buffering and fine with longer 15-second ads since it's a free app! Always enjoyed their content, quality remains the same. Also provides a lot of world news coverage which is great for me.

I loved this app before because it provided me with news. Although there were some ads, they were not too annoying. But now, it feels like a cheap game with too many intrusive ads. Some ads even pretend to be news stories, which makes CNN look untrustworthy. Are you trying to trick me into clicking on them? That's disappointing. If things don't get better soon, I will delete this app.

The app opens quickly and looks great. It runs smoothly and the user interface is easy to use. The news reported is fantastic - quick, concise, and everything you need in a news app.

I canceled cable, local channels don't cover everything. I wish I could watch more on the app without a provider. I only listen to news now, can't see faces. Still, I can hear news anytime. Can't afford a provider, but grateful for what I have.

Watching live TV on the streaming platform has so many ads compared to CNN on cable. If you're watching or just listening, you'll notice how frequent they are. Also, when streaming on your phone, the app must stay open for it to work. You can't switch to check the weather or messages without stopping it. However, when you reopen it, it continues where you stopped. The app is not well designed.
