Get Started with Coc Coc

    Enable and disable Coc Coc sync

When you turn on Sync, your data will be saved to your Cốc Cốc Account. Any device that is synced with your Cốc Cốc Account will share this data, including bookmarks, history, open tabs, passwords, and more. 

In other words, you can view or update synced information on all your devices. If one of your devices is lost, you'll get back all the synced information on the old device.

Note: You should only enable Coc Coc sync on devices that you own. If you are using a public computer, use Guest mode.

Sign in and enable Sync

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top right, click the Profile  icon (default avatar).

3. Click Turn on sync .

4. Log in to Coc Coc Account with email or Facebook, Google, Apple account.

    If you choose to log in with email, first register for a Coc Coc Account with your optional email and activate your account. Then select Continue with email . 

5. When prompted, click Yes, I agree .

Note: If you want to customize data synced with other services, go to Settings > You and Coc Coc > Sync and services .

Sign out and turn off Sync

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top right, click the Profile icon  (your avatar).

3. Click Sync is On .

4. Click Off .

5. When prompted, click Disable .

Note: When you turn off the Sync feature, this will log you out of your Coc Coc Accounts and Coc Coc services (such as Coc Coc Points). Your bookmarks, history, passwords, and settings will no longer be synced to your Coc Coc Account from this point on. However, data that was synced before logging out will still be saved on the browser.

    Import bookmarks and settings

You can switch to Coc Coc with all your bookmarks and settings saved on another browser. Depending on the browser you used before, the settings may include the following information:

- Browsing history

- Favorites/Bookmarks

- Saved Passwords

- Search Engine

- Auto-fill data into forms

- Home

When you open Coc Coc for the first time, we will guide you to import your bookmarks, passwords, and important settings from your old browser to Coc Coc. Or you can import them later manually by following the instructions below.

Import bookmarks and settings from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Internet Explorer

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top left, click the Coc Coc icon.

3. Click Bookmarks > Import bookmarks and settings .

4. From the drop-down menu, select the browser name you used before.

5. Select the type of information you want to import.

6. Click Import .

7. Click Done .

Import HTML file containing bookmarks

You can export bookmarks from any browser as an HTML file and import this bookmark file into Coc Coc. Here's how to import a bookmark file into Coc Coc:

1. On your computer, export the bookmarks from your browser as an HTML file.

2. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

3. At the top left, click the Coc Coc icon.

4. Click Bookmarks > Import bookmarks and settings .

5. From the drop-down menu, select HTML file containing bookmarks .

6. Select the type of information you want to import: Favorites / Bookmarks .

7. Click Choose File .

8. Select the HTML file you want to import.

9. Click Done .

Open imported bookmarks

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer. 

2. At the top left, click the Coc Coc icon.

3. Click Bookmarks .

4. Open imported bookmarks.

    If you don't have any bookmarks in Coc Coc yet, the imported bookmarks will appear in the bookmarks bar.

    If you already have bookmarks in Coc Coc, the imported bookmarks will be added to a folder named “Imported” at the end of the bookmarks bar.

Transfer bookmarks in Coc Coc to another browser

You can export bookmarks in Coc Coc as an HTML file and import this bookmark file into other browsers. Here's how to export a bookmark file in Coc Coc:

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top left, click the Coc Coc icon.

3. Click Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager .

4. In the top right, click the More icon (3 vertical dots) > Export Bookmarks .

5. Click Save on the operating system dialog box or press the Enter key .

When Coc Coc is the default browser on your computer, links you click on will automatically open in Coc Coc.

If you are using another default browser, you can change it to Coc Coc in  Settings .

Windows

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top right, click the Browser Menu icon (≡ symbol).

3. Click Settings > Default Browser .

4. Next to Default Browser , click the  Set as Default button .

5. In the Make Coc Coc your default browser section (in the Windows Settings window), click the Set default button .

Mac

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top right, click the Browser Menu icon (≡ symbol).

3. Click Settings > Default Browser .

4. Next to Default Browser , click the  Set as Default button .

5. When asked, select " Use Coc Coc ".

    Set default search engine on Coc Coc

On Coc Coc browser, you can search for everything right in the address bar. When you first install and start using Coc Coc, the default search engine on the address bar will be Coc Coc Search.

However, you can easily set a different default search engine in Settings .

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top right, click the  Browser Menu icon  (≡ symbol).

3. Click Settings > Search Engine .

4. Next to Search engine used in the address bar , select the search engine you want to use.

Note: If you notice that your default search engine has changed in an unexpected way, you may have installed an extension or computer software that interferes with your search engine.

- If it's an extension: Disable it in Extensions and reset the default search engine you want to use in Settings .

- If it's software: Uninstall the software from your computer and reset your browser settings by going to Settings  > Reset Settings .

    Set Coc Coc as default torrent application

When Coc Coc is the default torrent application, .torrent files will be automatically opened in Coc Coc. You can download torrents directly without installing additional supporting software.

If you are using another default torrent application, you can change it to Coc Coc in  Settings .

Windows

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top right, click the Browser Menu icon (≡ symbol).

3. Click Settings > Default Browser .

4. If the browser displays " Coc Coc is not the default torrent application ", click the  Set as default button .

5. Find the .torrent entry  (in the Windows Settings window), click on the current application or  Choose a default .

6. Find and select Coc Coc > click the  Set default button .

Mac

You can check if Coc Coc has been set as the default torrent application by following these steps:

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top right, click the Browser Menu icon (≡ symbol).

3. Click Settings > Default Browser .

4. The browser will display " Coc Coc is the default torrent application " or " Coc Coc is not the default torrent application "

    If you don't have torrent software on your computer, Coc Coc will automatically be set as the default Torrent application.

    If you are using another default torrent download software on your computer and want to change to Coc Coc: 

1. Find the .torrent file in Finder.

2. Right click, select Open with > Others .

3. Select Coc Coc > check Always Open With . If you don't see this option, click Show Options .

4. Click the  Open button.

When Coc Coc is the default PDF reader, .pdf files will automatically open in Coc Coc.

If you are using another default PDF reader, you can change it to Coc Coc in  Settings .

Windows

1. Open Coc Coc on your computer.

2. At the top right, click the Browser Menu icon (≡ symbol).

3. Click Settings > Default Browser .

4. If the browser displays " Coc Coc is not the default PDF reader ", click the  Set as default button .

5. Find the .pdf entry  (in the Windows Settings window), click the current app or  Choose a default .

6. Find and select Coc Coc > click the  Set default button .

Mac

On macOS, Coc Coc cannot check or set the default PDF reader.
