3. Partners are responsible for asset custody and distribution, for on-chain reward drops like tokens and NFTs.

Requirements

1. Campaign reward items should be unique to the CoinGecko Candy Rewards platform.

2. For items on-chain, Partners are responsible for the custody of assets (i.e. Tokens, NFTs) as well as the distribution to the final list of confirmed recipients.

3. An expression of interest through the form above does not guarantee listing. CoinGecko reserves the right to accept/reject any submission.

List new cryptocurrencies on CoinGecko

To get started with submitting coins/tokens on CoinGecko, you may refer to the steps below:

Login to your CoinGecko account if you already have one. If not, please sign up for a CoinGecko account. You may refer to this article for more information.

Once logged in, navigate to the bottom of CoinGecko main site and click “Request Form”, choose token/coin listing. If you logged in after you clicked “Request Form”, you should be redirected to the form. If not, please click this link.

Select your type of listing request - either “Coin” or “Token”.

Fill up all the coin/token details in the necessary fields in the form. Please note that fields with (*) are mandatory hence we encourage you to fill up as much information as possible.

Upload token/coin image under Attachments.

Feel free to type in any additional information that you would like to share with the CoinGecko team.

Click “Submit”. Kindly ensure that you have acknowledged all the terms and conditions prior to your token submission. Once acknowledged, you would have successfully submitted your coin listing request. 

To check the status of the listing request, you may click the “Your Requests” button. Otherwise, you may check via this link.

Your application will be reviewed by our team as soon as we can.

1. What are Coin Price, Market Capitalization, Volume, and Trust Score?

Coin Price refers to the current global volume-weighted average price of a cryptoasset traded on an active cryptoasset exchange as tracked by CoinGecko.

Market Capitalization is one of the metrics used to measure the relative size of a cryptoasset. Market Capitalization is calculated by multiplying Coin Price with Circulating Supply.

Volume is the total trading volume of a cryptoasset across all active cryptoasset exchanges tracked by CoinGecko.

Trust Score is used to measure liquidity on trading pairs and crypto exchanges. It is also expanded to measure overall liquidity, scale of operations and API coverage.

2. How Does CoinGecko Come Up With All the Different Charts/Data?

It’s a team effort! The CoinGecko team has been working hard to gather data for many cryptoassets from various sources since 2014. From the raw data collected, CoinGecko stores and charts them across time-series for you to get a better overview of the growth of a particular project. We hope our work lets you get a comprehensive 360-degree view of your favorite projects!

3. Why Is Market Capitalization a Dash (-) For Certain Projects?

An accurate market capitalization takes into account the circulating supply of a cryptoasset, and CoinGecko works closely with project teams or coin developers to obtain such information. If there is a dash, it means we have insufficient information regarding the circulating supply or reasons to doubt the accuracy of such information. The market capitalization metric is a continuous work in progress for us.

4. How Is the Circulating Supply Calculated on CoinGecko?

To calculate the circulating supply, we pull information directly from API endpoints provided by respective project teams. You may check out the API we use by clicking on the button beside “Circulating Supply”. Some examples are illustrated below:

For coins with locked Foundation/Company/Vested/Founder reserved holdings, we account for them by subtracting them from the circulating supply.

5. How Frequently Is All the Information Updated?

Our bots update our data based on a variable schedule. We update our information whenever possible as scheduled below, subject to rate-limits imposed by data providers.

Price, trading volume, market capitalization - Updated every 1 to 10 minutes

Circulating supply - Updated every 5 minutes

Developer, Social and Alexa Data - updated once per day

Blockchain information (Mining difficulty, total blocks, transactions per second etc.) - updated every 1 hour
