In Contract Demon, you play out the story of Eleni and Kamilla—two unlikely souls in a contract. Eleni is a young angel who is somehow a fan of demons. Meanwhile, Kamilla is an ancient demon who tries to be a proper one but is overwhelmed in the face of Eleni’s enthusiasm. The story doesn’t feature their first meeting in detail but it does cover how they end up in a romantic relationship.

Unlike most VNs, you don’t need to worry about the gameplay here as there are no dialogue options to influence the ending. In fact, there are no other endings at all—you simply have to read through the story and follow how it unfolds for the two main characters. It’s quite short and will only have about half an hour to finish.

The story features some adult topics—like sexual themes and strong language—but the narrative is mostly tame and even includes some LGBTQ representation outside of the main couple. Due to how linear and short the game is, it can leave players wanting more. To get bonus content, you can buy the game for a certain price and get a copy of “First Contract,” the game’s prologue comic, and an art collection.

A straight road to go

All in all, Contract Demon is a sweet little game about an unlikely relationship between two polar opposites. Not only does it feature LGBTQ relationships, but it also doesn’t bother with much gameplay. However, this can be a drawback as the story is too linear and short if you’re a fast reader. Nevertheless, the writing and art are great and you can get bonus materials if you donate to the developer.
