Costco - Warehouse shopping convenience

There are just too many problems and bugs. Sometimes things are okay, but most of the time they just don't work properly. I'm trying to check my current savings, but all I see is the title screen. The location for "My warehouse" is usually incorrect, despite me setting it multiple times. Also, tapping on some buttons often does nothing. It's really frustrating. Update: encountered the same issues, almost a year later.

The savings tab is back, which is awesome. That adds one more star to my rating. It would be even better if the app didn't restart every time I switch away for a moment. I often need to quickly check something in another app, and when I return to the Costco app, it always brings me back to the home page, making me waste time finding my previous location.

I really like Costco, but their app is not great. It's slow and freezes a lot. I find it annoying that you have to log in again to see the "member only pricing" when the app already has all my details saved. It drives me crazy having to sign in twice.

There's this app on my phone that really bothers me. I keep trying to set my location for the warehouse and delivery, but it always goes back to a faraway place. Even when I give it permission to access my location, it doesn't work. I set the location, start shopping, and suddenly I'm back in Pennsylvania by the 3rd page. I live in Texas! Why can't this app just remember where I am and stop going back to some other place? It's really difficult for me to use.

There is little to criticize about Costco, but I am not enjoying the recent app update in January 2024. It's really unresponsive; you have to tap six times sometimes. The forced notification at startup was terrible. It keeps asking me to sign in without remembering my information. Receipts are sometimes accessible, but most of the time they're not. The navigation seems more complicated now, although that could be because of the redesign. But the app's unresponsiveness makes it difficult to figure out.

I really love Costco and I once met the big boss there. I was even more thrilled than when I met the Queen. The app is super handy for getting in, making payments, finding deals, checking out new stuff, offering feedback – basically everything you can do at the store or through Costco is available on it, except for buying hot dogs. It's quick, simple to use, and I never encountered any technical issues. The layout of categories and item displays could be improved and made more modern, but it's not a major problem.

The app has a better interface now. Sometimes, when I tap on a link in an email, the app asks me to login before showing the details. However, after logging in, it doesn't open the link. I have to click on the link in the email once more. This is different from most apps that directly take you to the product from the email. The same thing happens with notifications. If I click on an offer notification, it only takes me to the shop tab.

This app is a disaster. I can't even see what's in my cart. When I press the back button on my Android, it deletes my search results instead of taking me back. It takes forever to get data from Costco's servers. For a company like Costco, and in 2024, I'm expecting a lot more. The menus are not user-friendly. The app doesn't work smoothly. It's annoying when you search for items because you can only filter one item at a time. For example, if you want to filter by 3 brands, you have to do it one by one: filter by Brand 1, wait for results, go to filter menu, then filter by Brand 2, and so on. What's even worse is that if you leave the app and come back, you lose all your filtered results.
