CTV News - Latest news updates

The app was good before, but the latest update is frustrating. Now, when you open an article, it forces videos to play on the already small screen. Additionally, instead of taking you to your chosen article, it redirects you to a different one (usually the "top read", but not always - maybe they're trying to inflate their numbers?). And to make matters worse, as you scroll through your feed, a glitch constantly reloads the content and throws you back to the top. It's a terrible experience.

This new app is a mess. I was fine with it being all over the place compared to the old one, and it's just so annoying with the videos. All I want to do is read the articles, not have to watch a video. I also liked being able to sort the cities I cared about. And now, on top of all that, the new app won't even open. For three days straight it's been showing "Error loading this content, try again." I've tried everything - resetting my phone, the wifi, reinstalling the app. What a disaster of an app.

So, there was a problem after the latest update which made it impossible to get online. This app I usually rely on for news wasn't working. About four days after giving a one-star rating and sharing my frustration, the app suddenly started working again. It's strange because all my other apps had no trouble connecting to the internet. But yeah, everything's good now, the app is working fine again.

Sounds like you really like the app! You have a cool idea of having a "minimize" feature for videos. This way, you could keep watching or listening to something while doing other stuff on your device.

Oh my gosh, these updates keep on bothering me! They claim to make the app better, but all they really do is add more annoying videos. And you can't even stop or delete them. How user-unfriendly! CBC does the same thing too. I thought CTV was supposed to be different. Maybe it's time to get rid of this app as well. Such a frustrating invasion of garbage.

The transmission is top-notch. It provides news from both within the country and overseas. The picture quality and sound are great too.

Hey, did ya notice something different with the CTV app? It used to remember my favorites and only show me what I liked. The videos were spot on, no issues there! But now, it's like the app is picking whatever it wants, not what I chose. The videos won't even play, they just freeze on the first image. The audio is working fine, but the video doesn't move past that first frame. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still no luck.
