Devil May Cry: Peak Of Combat - Beginner Tips

Time Your Dodges

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat

Dodging enemy attacks is an important skill in any Devil May Cry game, and Peak of Combat is no different. In this game, you have two main methods for avoiding enemy attacks, dodging and jumping.

There is no cooldown on your dodge skill, meaning you can use it as much as you want to avoid taking damage. Similarly, you can use your jump to avoid attacks, but if you use it just before an enemy attack, you can counter them, dealing damage with a special move. Learning how to use these mechanics to avoid damage while attacking is essential, especially in the late game.

Do Your Dailies

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat

Dailies are an important component of DMC: Peak of Combat, so you should definitely get into the habit of completing them. Every day, you'll be able to complete certain objectives to earn rewards like Gems, Red Orbs, and other upgrade materials.

These objectives are pretty easy to complete as you play normally, just remember to also do your Resource stages, like Perfect Timing and Vine of Greed. These offer a good variety of rewards while also making up a few of the daily objectives. This will let you kill two birds with one stone and quickly progress through the game.

Always Be Upgrading

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat

As you progress through the story mode of the game, you'll want to be upgrading your characters as much as possible. Story enemies and bosses start off easy enough, but as you reach later chapters, you'll start to feel a noticeable difference.

There are several different ways to power up your characters, including increasing their level, upgrading their weapon, leveling up skills, and equipping and upgrading Cards. The highest level you can upgrade your character is equal to the level of your Office, which increases as you play the story and spend Pizza - the stamina system currency of the game.

Try Out Different Characters

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat

There are several different characters available in Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat, each with their own skill sets and playstyles. While you have to summon most new characters in the Vault, there are a few characters you get for free as you play through the story.

We recommend trying out new characters once you get them in the practice menu. Here, you can learn the basics of playing that character, as well as some advanced tips, gear recommendations, and more. Be sure to utilize this resource when you unlock new characters.

Combos And Character Swapping

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat

While not nearly as involved as the mainline games, every character in Peak of Combat has combos that you can perform. Executing these combos will let you overpower enemies and gain the edge in combat.

In the mainline DMC games, you play as one character at a time. However, in Peak of Combat, you have access to a party of three characters. To be as effective as possible in combat, you'll need to constantly swap between your characters, executing special QTE actions at the right times that provide a variety of effects. Practicing this flow of combat is essential for progressing through the game.

Progress In The Bloody Palace

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat

The Bloody Palace returns in Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat. Here, you'll have the chance to prove your skills as a Demon Hunter as you kill waves of enemies. You'll only have a limited amount of time to clear each wave, but this time limit will extend as you kill enemies.

Waves will get more intense as you progress, but the rewards are more than worth the effort. By completing floors of the Bloody Palace, you'll earn rare Skill Manuals, character fragments, Gems, and Glory Points, which can be exchanged for a variety of useful items. Every time you make your characters stronger, you should reattempt the Bloody Palace and see how high you can climb.

The gameplay is good, but why do I have to draw 10 times for free from a pool of 100 items and then pay $59.99 for just one result out of the ten? It doesn't make sense if I can't even keep it. This is unacceptable. At the very least, you could offer me one free result and then charge for the remaining with in-game currency or a small fee, or make it entirely free for one attempt per account. Additionally, when the game updated to the full version, I lost all my progress.

Playing this game started out really enjoyable, but now I'm facing a tough level that feels like it requires spending money to win. I had 3 gold orbs, and when I used one to bring back one of my hunters, they got stuck in a stun lock and were defeated right away. I then used another orb only to lose 2 more hunters to the same stun lock. With just Vergil left, who could deal the most damage, I attempted to finish off one of the enemies using his Judgement Cut move. However, the attack glitched out and ended up getting Vergil defeated, causing me to fail the fight.

The game can be enjoyable, but there are some noticeable problems. After finishing the story, you only have access to 4 activities: Bloody Palace, Boss Hunt, Realm Conqueror, and Coop Raids. However, the rewards for these activities are limited. Once you complete them once (or three times for raids), you won't get further rewards until the next reset. Another issue is with the pull rates, as they are quite poor. It's possible that you might not get a pull until your 60th to 65th summon, if you're lucky. Additionally, the weapon vault claims to have a 50/50 chance between a universal hell weapon and a named weapon, which doesn't seem to be true.

The controls are not working properly. When I try to press a button, my character doesn't respond correctly. It's frustrating because sometimes my character just stands still when I want them to move, or runs in the wrong direction. And when I try to target an enemy, it always seems to be the wrong one, leading me into a lot of attacks. The enemy bots are really unfair and keep using cheap tactics over and over again. They seem almost invincible, even at lower levels. To make things worse, they have attacks that I can't even see coming, both from a distance and up close. It feels like playing a broken version of a game that's still in its testing phase.

Oh, this game is fantastic for playing on the move! Don't worry if you're unsure. If you know the series, it's just what you expect. And if you're new and enjoy hack-and-slash games, this one is a classic of the genre! It has so much to offer in my opinion. The graphics are great, the soundtrack is awesome, and there's plenty to keep any kind of player engaged. From what I've seen, there are enough resources for free-to-play players too.

Guys, I checked out the game again after they tweaked some stuff based on feedback. It's a bit better now, although it's still kinda annoying and there are times where they make you play manually for no good reason. The game itself is awesome, but you hit pay barriers pretty quickly. You only get around 30 minutes of free play each day, and if you wanna move forward, you gotta shell out for energy packs. Recruiting new characters is a pain. You mostly end up getting the same basic stuff repeatedly, and it costs way too much.

I had a blast playing this game! It's absolutely wild to experience DMC on my phone, but it went above and beyond what I was expecting. The graphics are stunning and the combat is pretty solid, even though it can feel a bit repetitive. While there are lots of things you can spend money on in the game, the developers provide you with loads of chances to earn in-game currency. All in all, I've been having a great time playing this game.

The game is really fun, especially considering it's a mobile Devil May Cry game. Yes, there's the pay-to-win aspect, but that's pretty common in games these days. I didn't give it 5 stars mainly because you need a lot of energy for each battle and it runs out fast. It takes a whole 22 hours to fully recharge, which is quite long. Maybe they could reduce the energy needed for each stage from 30 to 20, and cut the time to replenish 180 energy in half. It would be great to see these changes implemented soon as it would improve the overall experience.
