Digital Secure - Data protection & security

There was this app that pretended to be a Verizon Security app update, but actually it installed Digital Secure and charged $11 per month. After complaining on 8/6/19, Digital Secure provided an update in response. I tested it and everything seems good - my phone hasn't frozen, and no unauthorized charges on my account. So far, so good. Update: I must say, the app is working great now! No issues at all.

The digital security used to work fine, but now the options are inactive and I can't use them. It's not working properly anymore, which makes me doubt if it's working at all. I've contacted them multiple times but still no response. I followed all the suggestions in the chat, and even upgraded to a higher paid version, but it's still not working as it should.

12 hours on the phone trying to fix ID protection issues, still can't log in. Tried everything, no 'change password' email sent. Uploaded personal data but can't get back in. Got emails about compromised info but can't log in. Other service issues too.

The app keeps turning off after recent updates, which leaves my device vulnerable. The wifi security doesn't always stay on, and I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app a few times because of that. It's frustrating because when it does work, it works well. However, whenever I leave my wifi network, restart my phone, or switch to 4G, the secure wifi turns off and I have to reconnect manually. I've reached out to customer support via email, but haven't heard back from them. This is a service I'm paying for, but if this continues, I may have to reconsider.

The app keeps sending notifications that are too short to read, and when you tap on them, it just asks you to upgrade without showing the actual notification content. I don't know what you removed or if I even allowed it. I am going to disable the app.

You've been using Digital Secure for a while and it's been working fine. Yesterday, it started crashing for the first time and kept saying unable to connect. Today, you had the same issue but after restarting your phone, everything seems fine. You'll check it again tomorrow and hopefully no problems.

Forgot home network again and it's annoying. Good for security when traveling, but not at home with mesh Wi-Fi system. App only sees one access point out of three, doesn't remember preferred connection, and can't trust each access point individually because they share the same name. Annoyed every time I switch rooms in the house.

The customer support is really bad. The VPN doesn't work properly, and I often have to restart my phone multiple times before it recognizes that I'm connected to wifi. It's frustrating because the VPN won't connect without wifi, so it's like a never-ending loop. When I contacted customer support, they were no help at all. They didn't fix anything. I wish I could just get rid of this useless service, but unfortunately, it comes bundled with other things that do work. My advice would be to steer clear of this product.
