1. What can the DKB app do?

The DKB app offers you quick access to accounts and cards – modern and intuitive. Use it to check your account balance or custody account, as well as to approve online payments or manage your Visa cards.

You can use web banking to carry out your banking transactions conveniently in your browser. In web banking, you can log in with any internet-enabled device.

2. When and how should I update my DKB apps?

Please update the DKB apps regularly so that you can always use the full range of security and services. You can find your installed version number in your "Profile".

Our tip: Use the automatic update function of your mobile device to always use the latest version of our apps. To do this, turn on Automatic App Updates (Android) or Background Updates (iOS) in your mobile device's device settings.

You can also update the apps manually.

Android device

    open Google Play

    now tap on your profile icon at the top

    jump to the overview of your installed apps

    scroll to the corresponding app

    open the menu and select "Automatic Updates" or "Manual Update"

iOS device

    open the App Store, then tap Today at the bottom of the screen

    now tap on your profile icon at the top

    scroll down to see which of your installed apps have an update available

    next to the app, choose Update

3. Is my data safe when I access the Internet with my smartphone?

We secure your banking transactions and personal data with numerous functions. You can also help protect your computer, tablet or smartphone by following these rules of conduct:

    Do not log in to your banking using a third-party device.

    Don't store your login details unsecured on your computer, tablet or smartphone.

    Use an antivirus scanner specifically for mobile devices and make sure it receives regular updates.

After your visit, always log out of your banking via profile > log out.

4. How can I change the language setting for the DKB app?

The DKB app uses the first supported language from the "Language & Region" setting. To switch between German and English, you can either change the first supported language in the device or make an individual selection for the app.

    go to the settings of your iPhone or iPad

    scroll down until you see the DKB app

    click on "Language" and decide between German and English

    open Settings

For FOCUS MONEY, the German Financial Service Institute (DFSI) examined the product features of installment loans from a total of 40 online and branch banks as well as insurance companies operating nationwide, which are essential from the consumer's point of view. The Installment loan (without residual debt insurance) of the DKB was awarded the top rating "Outstanding" and is thus one of the top loans.

FNG seal for DKB Sustainability Fund 2023

The FNG seal is the quality standard for sustainable investments in German-speaking countries. With the seal, the DKB Sustainability Funds for Climate Protection and Social Impact (SDG) demonstrate an explicit sustainability strategy. All companies in the funds were analysed with regard to specific exclusion criteria (e.g. nuclear power, coal mining, weapons) as well as the consideration of labour and human rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption. The certification is renewed annually.

On behalf of ntv, FMH-Finanzberatung has researched the conditions for installment loans, including protection in the event of death or full protection. Only the creditworthiness-independent offers and those with 2/3 validity for 36 and 72 months were evaluated. DKB was able to place itself as "Best Installment Loan" in the comparison.

The DKB Sustainability Fund Climate Protection and the DKB Sustainability Fund SDG have received the top rating of "A" in the €uro ECO Rating 2022.
