DoorDash - Food delivery service

After using the app for a year, I have noticed that it has become worse for delivery workers. They now receive orders from areas far away with even lower pay. Whenever I log in, I only get one delivery per hour. Then, just before my shift ends, they suddenly assign me a delivery that is thirty minutes away and out of my zone. This app used to be a good way to earn extra money, but now it feels like it only benefits the app creators.

This app really needs an upgrade, especially the map directions. It once told me to stop on the freeway and can go offline when looking for customers or waiting for new orders. I would rate it negative five stars.

The app is super annoying after I updated it. I can't take pictures sometimes, can't map an address, and keep getting weird error messages. It's so frustrating! I've had to restart the app like 10 times today while trying to dash. Please, fix it soon so I can focus on my work instead of dealing with these problems. Thanks.

There's a new update about safety around May 5, 2024. The navigation in the app got updated too. Now, when you're almost at your destination, it doesn't show the address on the screen anymore, just says where you need to turn. You have to exit the navigation to see the address. Imagine a child unexpectedly crossing the street! Unfortunately, when I reached out for help, they weren't concerned. They suggested using another map app, but that also has problems.

I can't schedule dashes because the starting point preference options are in the wrong location. I've tried troubleshooting and customer support wasn't helpful. They wouldn't transfer me to someone who could help. I understand the policies and troubleshooting, but nothing has worked. The starting point preferences are on the opposite side of the state.

The app works fine, but I have one suggestion. When I receive an offer, the notification sound stops my music or podcast apps and doesn't start them again like other delivery apps. It's risky while driving because you keep switching back and forth, especially when declining DoorDash's numerous $3 offers.

This app looks really old and unattractive. When it switches to Google Maps, it's just the map moving around and it's a struggle. It's not as good as Uber Eats app. They have more deliveries, but sometimes they give you orders that are unreasonable for self-employed people, which can be annoying for drivers.

This app is really bad. I've been a platinum member for a long time, and now suddenly the "earn by time" option has disappeared. I'm not talking about when all the slots are taken by other dashers, I mean the option doesn't even show up on the screen anymore. The app just starts the dash automatically and only offers random orders for per-order payment. Moreover, my schedule keeps getting deleted on its own. I tried troubleshooting three times, but nothing worked.

I really enjoy working as a dasher! One thing that bothers me is how hard it can be to collect orders from fast food restaurants, especially at night. I think all the businesses on the app should have a system where they either bring out the orders when we arrive or provide a special window for us to pick up orders quickly without waiting in long drive-thru lines. Also, they shouldn't send us too far away from our usual delivery zones and should make it obligatory for customers to tip for every delivery. If there's no tip, then there shouldn't be a delivery. Simple as that.
