Elisa Viihde - Mobile TV & streaming

With Elisa Viihde's TV offerings, you can effortlessly record content from various channels and access your preferred streaming services through a single, user-friendly platform. By subscribing to either the Elisa Viihde Premium or the more streamlined Elisa Viihde Mini, tailored for mobile devices and smart TVs, you will maximize the benefits of the free Elisa Viihde app. Additionally, the app enables you to rent or purchase films. The movie rental feature boasts thousands of popular titles along with an extensive collection of Finnish films. Simply download the free Elisa Viihde app from your device's app store to enjoy it on mobile devices and smart TVs.

Setting up the TV box

1. Connect the TV box to the network by connecting the TV box to the modem with a network cable. If you cannot use a network cable to establish the connection, you can establish the network connection wirelessly (WiFi/WLAN) during setup.  

2. After connecting the network cable, connect the TV box and TV using the HDMI cable that came with the Elisa Viihde Plus TV box .  Then connect the TV box to the power outlet with the power cable, and insert the batteries into the remote control.

3. Now you can turn on the TV box with the power button on the Viihde Plus remote control. Select the correct input source with the source/input button on the TV remote control. 

4. Set up and install the TV box by following the setup instructions displayed on the screen.

5. If you have not connected your TV box to your modem with a network cable, you can now connect your TV box to your wireless network. You can enable your wireless network when the text "select WiFi network" appears on the TV screen. You will need your wireless network password to connect to your wireless network.

IMPORTANT: Use the HDMI cable that came with your Elisa Viihde Plus TV box!  The HDMI cable included in the package is HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.3. If you use an old HDMI cable, you may not get the best picture quality. 

Search function

In the Search view, you can search for content both from within the Elisa Viihde service and from other sources, such as streaming services. Currently, the search searches for content:

Viaplay

Prime Video

Recordings

Program guide

You can access voice search either by pressing the magnifying glass on the remote control or via the top navigation: SEARCH > point the remote control at the microphone > press the OK button on the remote control > say, for example, the name of the program you want to search for.

Using the feature requires you to grant the app permission for voice search. 

When the icon is red, it is registering speech. 

By going to the search field, you can search for content by entering at least three characters into the field. 

In addition to the name of programs and movies, you can search for content by, for example, the name of the actor.
