Can I have a free trial?

As a free user, you can get a taste of EnglishCentral by watching videos, learning associated vocabulary, and trying out our speaking applications. We also offer one free 20-minute live lesson with a tutor during which you try our unique video-based lessons, set your English level, and get a recommended study plan.

How can I level up?

The Level Up Test is your way to ensure you are improving your English on Englishcentral. It follows the same format as the Level Test and the results will show your improvement from the time you last took the test. 

The Test is automatically added to your account after earning 20,000 XP (points earned in the subscription period only). This can be taken periodically in order to follow your progress. 

In order to level up without a test, you need to collect 20,000 XP and master the words specified from the word list of your current level. 

How can I earn experience points (XP)?

You earn points for each activity you do on EnglishCentral. You earn 10 XP for each unique video watched, 10 XP for each unique word learned, 10 XP for each unique line spoken, 15 XP for each recorded answer in chat mode, 10 XP for each line spoken in the speaking tab and 50 XP for each Live! lesson.

How can you make use of the Conversations tab?

The Conversations tab contains real-life situations you want to practice and master. These conversations are built based on CEFR skills and conducted by our AI-chatBot MiMi, who will guide you through the conversation to make sure you master it.

Is there a report for Conversations?

Yes. After ending the conversation, you will receive a comprehensive report that contains goals assessment, grammar corrections, vocabulary recommendation, and some suggested videos about the conversation. With the report, you can also review how the conversation went so you can learn from your mistakes and master the conversation in the next try.
