What is laser hair removal? 

Laser hair removal is the best way to get rid of unwanted hair, as it is the only technology that truly eliminates hair. The laser is a beam of very intense light that, when fired at the skin, travels the entire length of the hair until it reaches its root and eliminates it permanently. 

Preparing the skin for laser hair removal sessions is very simple: The hair must be trimmed, with only a small tip sticking out of the skin. The skin must not be tanned and should not be exposed to the sun for 30 days before applying the laser. It is best to have well-hydrated skin, which enhances the success of the treatment.

 After the session, care should be taken to continue moisturizing the skin and not to sunbathe for up to 7 days after the laser application. Hair has different growth phases, which is why laser treatment is done in 10 sessions, so that we can find all the hairs in their ideal phase for removal and cauterization of the root. 

The sessions are quick and last on average 5 to 15 minutes, with an interval between each session varying between 30 to 45 days, depending on the area being waxed.

How many sessions are needed to eliminate hair?

On average, 10 sessions are needed, with a minimum interval of 45 to 60 days between each one – the interval varies according to the area treated and the recommendation of the laser specialists.

How long does a session take?

A session can last between 5 and 30 minutes, depending on the area:

– Armpits: 5 minutes

– Groin: 10 minutes

– Entire legs: 30 minutes.

Can it be done on any part of the body?

Yes, except eyebrows.

Will the hair grow back?

After 10 treatment sessions, the hairs that had their follicles cauterized by the laser will not grow back. However, there are special hormonal conditions or genetic factors that can stimulate the growth of new hairs, and maintenance sessions must be scheduled. White, blond and red hairs are not eliminated.
