Evertale tier list to help you pick the best characters

Looking for the latest Evertale tier list of all the best characters available in the game right now? Then look no further, because you're in the right place.

This article is going to rank all of the SSR characters in Evertale from best to worst, in tiers S, A, B and C. We recommend using the top tier units, as they are crazy strong in the current meta, and you won't need to make big investments into them in order to be useful.

Evertale is a mobile fantasy RPG where players have to catch monsters and evolve them. Of course, there are a lot of possible monsters to collect and each one requires a different approach. Some are stronger, some are weaker; you need to assemble a team in order to defeat your opponents, and slowly climb your way up to the top.

Unlike many other gacha games out there, such as Revived Witch, Another Eden, Illusion Connect and even Dislyte, Evertale is a premium title. However, it's got beautiful visuals and narrative, so if you're into that, it's definitely worth checking out. Since we mentioned them, you can check our Idle Heroes tier list of best characters, Another Eden tier list, or Dislyte tier list.

The best characters in Evertale

Picking the best characters in Evertale (those in S tier mainly) means that you'll have a way easier time ahead of you when playing the game. They usually have a powerful kit that won't require the player to max them out in order to clear all the content. That cannot be said about the units in B and C tier, which will require considerably more resources.

This tier list will cover only the SSR characters since they are the ones that everyone will eventually have on the team. They're not super easy to get (it's a gacha after all), so it might take some time to get a team full of all the units you want.

And with that being out of the way, let's jump straight into the Evertale tier list!

Total disappointment with this game. Just uninstalled it and I'm wishing for a refund. The ads are completely misleading. Sure, the graphics look good, but they don't match what was shown. I tried to give it a fair shot, even finished the story mode, but it's just a copy of Final Fantasy 10, honestly. The storyline wraps up too quickly, and then it turns into nothing but Gacha mechanics. Such a letdown.

This game has a cool vibe. The progression system mixes elements from Pokemon and Jade Cocoon, making it intriguing but a bit lacking. No ads is a nice touch, though paying for the game feels like just getting rid of interruptions. The graphics could use improvement, but hey, it’s only a dollar. The biggest headache comes from all the loading screens. In a game focused on refining strategy, having to reload cutscenes before fights is frustrating. Just skipping some parts doesn’t mean skipping all the important moments or boss battles.

It's a bit disappointing that the game has a paywall and heavy monetization. Still, it's been pretty enjoyable to play. Don't misunderstand it, though; it's a full-on gacha experience. Relying on finding wild monsters won't cut it. Players need to be ready to invest if they want stronger monsters. At least there aren’t constant ads like in some other games.

At first, the game feels like a fantastic, open-world adventure. You dive in, ready to explore and catch monsters. The excitement builds with every new encounter. But then comes the first act, and things take a turn. Suddenly, roaming feels restricted. Monster catching becomes a grind. You end up burning through mana just to do anything meaningful. Adding new monsters? It feels like a tough lottery, and the costs pile up fast. What started as a promising experience turns into a frustrating pay-to-win scheme. Many players feel let down. Old fans are disheartened. So much potential wasted. It's truly sad to see how it all unfolded.

This game seems to be lost in its direction. The story starts strong, but quickly reveals itself as a thin mask. After the first chapter, everything shifts into a timegated, predictable experience. The gacha system could be enjoyable if it didn’t feel so mandatory or if players had better access to more units. Quality of life features are restricted by player ranks. While having progression isn’t inherently bad, it becomes an issue when these features are crucial for Daily quests. Those should be available to all players. It’s wise to steer clear of this one.

The offline story offers so much excitement and adventure. Transitioning to the online mode changes everything. Suddenly, playing costs mana. That takes away from the fun. Experience points vanish, and leveling up becomes a grind. Collect coins and various items, but they don’t always help. The crucial materials for leveling up hide exclusively in raids. If your guild isn’t on top, forget about it. Progression stops. Enemies grow stronger, making those battles tougher and tougher. It feels like hitting a wall. The drop rates disappoint as well, leaving players frustrated.

The game feels average, just another mobile title with in-app purchases. You find yourself running around, facing random enemy attacks. The battles play out in turns. The story follows the classic "chosen one saves the world" theme. I gave it two stars because the ads were misleading. They promised a horror experience, and that's far from reality. Overall, I don't recommend this game. It doesn’t deserve your time.

Skip this game. At first, it feels exciting. You level up and think it’ll get intense. The RPG side never reaches that point. Most of the game runs on auto mode. Battling in the tower or arena? No option to manual fight. The AI makes poor decisions. There’s so much strategy potential, yet they confine you to auto mode after you finish the offline parts. Sure, they hand out a lot of free gems. Still, it’s not enough. Not worth it.

This game is fantastic for fans of turn-based JRPGs. The experience would be even better with a reset option for upgraded heroes and weapons, allowing players to retrieve materials for new heroes. Leveling up a fresh character becomes challenging at higher stages. Some recent games offer such features. Still, this game shines with its lengthy story and great graphics. I can't recall the exact price, but I'm really enjoying it.

New players, save up your currency! Go for the 10th summon instead of summoning one at a time. It gets you higher rarity companions much faster. The graphics look amazing, and the gameplay feels smooth. The equipment system adds depth, making it even more engaging. I’ve been craving an Android game like this for a long time. Earning purchasable currency is pretty straightforward too. I plan to keep playing until I finish the story. If anything changes, I’ll update my review!
