Exiled Kingdoms is a standalone Action-RPG that enables players to explore a distinct universe at their own pace. This isometric game draws inspiration from some of the finest role-playing titles of previous decades, evoking the classic essence in multiple ways: it features a challenging landscape, impactful decisions, and a robust gameplay system, offering various avenues for character development.
Venture into the world: there will be no guidance on where to find the best-kept secrets. Engage with hundreds of unique characters, each providing different dialogues, and tackle numerous quests. Tailor your character with a wide array of skills and an extensive selection of items. Face off against diverse monsters and adversaries, carefully selecting the appropriate weapons or powers for each situation. Additionally, experience traditional dungeon exploration, filled with traps and hidden doors, as well as lethal dangers lurking around every corner for the unwary adventurer.
The free version permits you to play as either a Warrior or a Rogue. It features 30 different areas and 29 quests that can be completed (with some being partially playable), offering around 30 hours of gameplay and a level cap suitable for the available regions.
The full version requires a single in-app purchase which grants permanent access to all content (without any micro-transactions). This edition includes 146 areas, 97 quests (alongside randomly generated quests), and over 400 dialogues totaling more than 130,000 words; it provides approximately 120+ hours of gameplay. Furthermore, the full version unlocks the Iron-Man mode (permadeath) and introduces the Cleric and Mage classes.
No additional micro-transactions exist. There’s no pay-to-win mechanics, no "energy" system, and no advertisements. It’s simply a game, reminiscent of the good old days.
Story overview: A grim narrative set in an adventurous new world
A century ago, the Andorian Empire succumbed to a magical disaster that unleashed The Horrors into our realm, leading to the near extinction of humanity. Thousands managed to escape to the Imperial Colony of Varannar: a wild, perilous, and uncharted island. An atmosphere of distrust and blame hindered the election of a new Emperor, resulting in the declaration of the four Exiled Kingdoms.
Today, these disparate kingdoms fight to thrive in a harsh environment, often clashing with one another. The Empire and the Horrors have faded into mere legends and fairy tales for many. You are a novice adventurer, rarely preoccupied with such old tales; your focus lies instead on your recent misfortunes and shortage of gold.
However, fortune seems to favor you this time. You've received a letter from New Garand, announcing that you are the sole heir to a substantial inheritance. You don’t recall any relatives residing in the capital of the Kingdom of Varsilia, but that won't deter you from seizing this chance! The journey to New Garand promises many unexpected discoveries and will reveal that fairy tales and legends can indeed become reality.
Regarding permissions: the game requests internet access for linking to Google Play Games. Access to your storage is required for exporting saved games to a file or to the cloud. If you choose to decline these permissions after installation, the game will continue to function properly, though these options will be unavailable.
[First-person exile's notes]
When I crushed the yellowed inheritance letter in my hand, the halo of the resin torch was swaying on the murals of the nameless tomb. The arrows of the lizardman scouts were still stuck in the gaps of the shoulder armor, and the smell of blood mixed with the smell of mold in the underground rushed into my nose-this was the third time this week that I was forced into a dead end by the ruins guards, and all my belongings were left with half a piece of moldy black bread and a notched dagger.
The fateful joke of character customization
When I created a character in front of the statue of the Seven Gods, the system gave me a black humor: choosing a warrior would trigger the "Ancestral Rusted Sword" event, and the thief would inevitably be stuffed into the "Rat God Curse" debuff. When I used three points of agility to roll out the elven ranger bloodline, every tavern owner in Nocterra began to look at my pointed ears with strange eyes-until a human mercenary tried to cut off my ears as a trophy in a drunken fight, and I was shocked to realize that the racial prejudice in this world was so real that it was creepy.
The Butterfly Effect in the Quest Network
After saving a merchant entangled by a giant spider in the Misty Swamp, the emerald amulet he gave me became a pass to open black market transactions. The result of refusing to help the temple priests clean up the goblins three days ago is that the entire holy city has now closed the healing spring to me. The most shocking choice happened in the Bloody Canyon: when I was forced to choose between the cultists and the village orphans, the system suddenly popped up a hidden prompt-if the character's faith value exceeds 15 points, you can consume all your magic power to activate the forbidden spell "Soul Tearing". Looking at the grayed-out icon in the skill bar, I realized that the fragment of "Whisper of the Ancient Gods" that I read in the inn that night was not a decoration.
Acoustic traps in the dungeon
When exploring the ancient dwarf mines, torches illuminate more than just the mossy brick walls. When the soles of the boots stepped on the loose floor tiles for the third time, the sound of gears biting from the cracks in the rock wall would make the hair on the back of the neck stand up. When I cracked the treasure chest mechanism, the roar of the awakened gargoyle and the real surround sound effect overlapped, which scared me so much that I threw my phone two meters away. When I picked it up, the character was being held against the throat by the petrified fangs, and the automatic save point was still half an hour ago.
Death education in Ironman mode
After turning on the permanent death mode, even slimes became philosophy mentors. After being sent back to the creation interface by the forest wolf pack for the seventh time, I finally learned to use torches to create terrain barriers, and even invented the beggar version of the trap of "vine trip rope + poisonous mushroom". When the character fell under the dragon's breath again, the system kindly popped up the "Death Report": This survival time was 17 hours and 42 minutes, a total of 27 fatal attack warnings were triggered, and only 3 drops of blood were left when I was closest to survival. It turned out that the rusty dagger inserted in the dragon's feces could really trigger a one-thousandth probability of beheading.
At this moment, my backpack is lying with the Four Kingdoms Wanted Order, half of the Abyss Map, and the lute given by the bard. When the new moon rose over the spire of Blackthorn Castle, I was bargaining with the undead blacksmith in the basement of the tavern - he exchanged three pieces of hell steel for my childhood memories, and the forged evil blade left a bloody afterimage on my retina every time it was swung. This exiled land woven with millions of words, the pupils of each NPC reflected a fragmented epic, and every save point of mine was rewriting the dark chronicle of this continent.
