CONS

Lack of an option to change the language (Czech/English)

The EZCard application offers a unique feature of a vaccination card. Upon logging in with your ID, you will be able to view all registered vaccinations (mandatory and optional) as of 1.1.2023, alongside your COVID certificates. Besides your own vaccines, you can also see the vaccination records of your children (up to 18 years old) and individuals who have authorized you. Additionally, the app allows you to easily create a PDF vaccination card for sharing or sending to your doctor. The functionality of COVID certificates from the previous Tečka application is now integrated into EZCard.

Key features of the EZCard application include:

- Secure eGovernment login options such as NIA, Citizen Portal gov.cz login, and bank identity authentication

- Retrieval of stored vaccinations and COVID certificates from the Ministry of Health server

- Access to vaccination records and COVID certificates for dependent individuals (children under 18 and authorized persons)

- Ability to generate a vaccination certificate in PDF format for medical professionals

- Display of certificates with validity assessment following Czech Republic validation rules

Operated in compliance with Czech Republic legislation or individual consent, the EZCard app provides citizens with access to e-health services.

FAQ

1. How does EZKarta differ from Tečka?

Unlike Tečka, EZKarta will contain additional electronic functions and will be a full-fledged eHealth application of the health sector, which will gradually offer citizens new electronic functions. The previously single-purpose Tečka application will therefore change into a broader application, EZKarta, which will form a gateway to new healthcare electronic services (initially mainly central) and will become a digital communication channel between the health sector and citizens.

2. Is the EZKarta application available for both Android and iOS?

Yes, the application will be available for both platforms.

3. Is the EZKarta application also available for older versions of operating systems?

Yes, the application will be able to run on older platforms, however, it is recommended that users of devices with the Android operating system use at least version 8 and higher and users of Apple devices use version iOS 15 and higher.

4. Do I have to install the new EZKarta application, or is the Tečka update enough?

It will be enough to update the current version of the Tečka application, and after downloading it will be automatically renamed and expanded with new functions. In addition, it will be possible to search for the application in the Apple Store and Google Play under both the old name Tečka and the new name EZKarta. There will always be new versions of the EZKarta application.

5. How do I find the EZKarta application on Google Play and the App Store?

Both under the old name Tečka and the new name EZKarta.

6. Are my older vaccinations from paper IDs uploaded to the EZKarta application?

No, unfortunately there is no legislative mandate for this. Vaccinations from 1 January 2023 will be visible in the application, and for vaccinations against COVID-19, all vaccinations - even older ones - will be visible.

7. Can I use the same PIN to log in to EZKarta that I used to log in to Tečka?

The PIN is always set again by the user during installation and they can use any PIN.

8. What should I do if I do not remember the original 6-digit PIN? How can I continue?

You need to reinstall the app and log in again.

9. How can I change the original 6-digit PIN?

In the app, in the settings at the top right, select change PIN.

10. What should I do if logging in via bank identity is not working?

There may be several reasons, the most common reason may be that you do not have bank identity enabled as a means of authentication in NIA. Therefore, try contacting your bank and verify.

As the system language of Android is in English, the Dot appears in English as well. I don't know how to switch the certificate detail to Czech. Even though the 'EN' option is crossed out, the details are still displayed in English. When I show the certificate detail on my mobile phone, the staff who handle it in English get confused. It would be enough to add an option to change the language (Czech/English) in the app settings (the texts are already translated).

So, you tried adding a person through eIdentita but it didn't work out. Despite logging in successfully with eIdentita, you weren't able to add any person to the application.

It stopped working to scan QR codes, so I can't add my wife and other people.

I advocate for marking expired tests with a different color and not using the word "invalid". I would appreciate being able to evaluate them according to the rules of other EU countries.

Requiring a PIN for the app seems unnecessary, especially for phones with screen locks already set up. It should be optional. It's great that the app primarily shows just the QR code without validity rating and distinguishes certificates loaded via QR codes that don't get updated. However, it would be good if the app also displayed the validity of the signature on such QR codes. Additionally, notifications would be useful when a new certificate appears in the app or when a certificate becomes invalid.

You had the certificates for your two vaccine doses, valid dates and suddenly they showed as invalid even though they were displayed in green before.

Clear, it does exactly what it should. Not more, not less. I would appreciate switching the language from system to Czech.

Hi there! Congrats on receiving your certificate! If you've forgotten your password for the Tečka app, don't worry. You can easily reset it without having to delete and reinstall the app. Just follow these steps: 1.Open the Tečka app on your device. 2.Look for an option that says "Forgot Password" or "Reset Password." Click on that. 3.You may be asked to confirm your email address or provide some other form of identification. 4.Follow the instructions provided by the app to reset your password. You may need to create a new password that meets their security requirements. 5.Once you've reset your password, you should be able to log in to the app with your new credentials. And that's it! You should now have access to your Tečka app with your updated password. Good luck!
