Separate 'Safe Browser' icon in Launcher

Safe browsing works only when you are browsing the Internet with Safe Browser. To easily allow you to set Safe Browser as the default browser, we install this as an additional icon in the launcher. This also helps a child launch the Safe Browser more intuitively.

THIS APP USES THE DEVICE ADMINISTRATOR PERMISSION

Device Administrator rights are required for the application to perform, and F-Secure is using the respective permissions in full accordance with Google Play policies and with active consent by the end-user. The Device Administrator permissions are used for Parental Control features, in particular:

- Preventing children from removing the application without parental guidance.

- Browsing Protection.

THIS APP USES ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES

This app uses Accessibility services. F-Secure uses the respective permissions with active consent from the end-user. The Accessibility permissions are used for the Family Rules and Chrome Protection features, in particular:

Family Rules

- To allow a parent to protect their child against unsuitable web content.

- To allow a parent to apply restrictions on device and app usage for children.

Chrome Protection

- To read website addresses for checking their safety on Chrome.

With the Accessibility service:

- Application usage can be monitored and restricted.

- Safety checks on Chrome can be performed.

My F-Secure

My F-Secure is the home of your protection. It is the management portal for all the devices that are protected with your subscription. Apart from managing your F-Secure products, all subscription-related information is available in the portal.

This means that when you take the F-Secure app into use for the first time, you need to create your personal F-Secure account.

We respect your privacy and only process personal data needed to provide our services and to communicate with you. We don't share your My F-Secure account information with third parties. The information you enter when purchasing our products, such as payment card details, is handled by the online store or app store provider. These third-party resellers' privacy policies apply to the actual purchase and related activities. F-Secure does not have access to your payment information.

Sharing licenses

Through My F-Secure, you can also share your licenses with other family members and friends by inviting them to your My F-Secure group. Once your friends have accepted the invitation and created an F-Secure account of their own, they can start installing the app on their devices.

All members within your My F-Secure group use the licenses available with your subscription.

Managing subscriptions

Apart from managing your F-Secure product installations, all subscription-related information is available in the portal. The main page shows when your subscription expires and how many free licenses you have left. If your subscription is about to come to an end or you have run out of licenses, you can extend your subscription or buy more licenses through the portal.

To view your subscription-related information, select Subscription in the top bar.

To access your account-related information, notification settings, and to edit your F-Secure email address, select <your name> > Account settings in the top bar.
