Beginner's Tips for Playing "FarmVille 2: Country Escape"!

1. Save Your Keys for Upgrades and Special Items

Like most free-to-play games, premium currency like keys are hard to come by; you only get them as special rewards or by spending real money to buy them. For that reason, save your keys for upgrades or for special items only. While it may be tempting to use them to speed up farming or crafting: don't. Just be patient and save them for the things you can only use keys to unlock.

2. Upgrade Your Barn and Silo ASAP

One thing you'll notice in the game is that you'll quickly run out of storage space in both your barn (and later silo when you unlock it). It's best to upgrade these storage spaces ASAP. You can upgrade using the required items: locks, nails and shovels, but you can also use keys to upgrade in a pinch. This is one of the rare times it's a good idea to actually use your keys to upgrade.

3. Have Two of Everything

Take a lesson from Noah and his ark; it's best to have two of everything in the game.

You definitely want to have two of all workshops: two pastry ovens, two dairy, two stovetops, two dinner ovens, two looms, etc. I recommend having at least three windmills.

You'll also want two of all the animals: two cows, two chickens, two goats, two sheep, and two pigs.

Then, finally, make sure you have two of each farming plots/trees: two wheat, corn, carrot, strawberry, and tomato crops; two lemon, peach, and apple trees; and two beehives.

This will make it easier and quicker to craft and complete orders. While the first of everything takes coins, you'll need keys to unlock the second animal, workshop and crop; again, this is a good time to use your keys.

4. Always Utilise All Aspects of the Farm

Time is money in this game, so make sure you always have your farm at work.

Make sure you're always feeding animals, have something being produced in the workshop, the crops/trees growing fruits and vegetables, and farm hands exploring the various locations around the farm.

Check in periodically and make sure you're utilising every area of your farm.

5. Take Advantage of Daily Freebies

There are plenty of daily freebies in the game that you can use to get rewards in the game.

- You can watch up to 10 videos (ads) a day in the game to get free products.

- Spin the prize wheel once a day (connect with Facebook to unlock more free spins)

- Pan for products once a day (you get one chance to pan for free, but you can pan for other items after your free turn by using coins and keys).

6. Don't Forget the Tool Shed!

The tool shed allows you to produce one shovel every eight hours for 10 coins. You need lots of shovels in the game to upgrade your barn/silo or remove logs on new pieces of land, so make sure you're always producing shovels in the tool shed!

7. Use as Many Farmhands as Possible While Exploring

When exploring special areas like Grandma's Glade, Pappy's Pond, Merryweather Mine and more, make sure you're using as many farmhands as possible to complete the tasks.

You'll see the available rewards on the side will have a green circle around them, which means you're guaranteed to get that item during your exploration. If the circle is yellow or red, that means your chance is lower. The more farmhands you have on an exploration, the more products will have the green circle.

Make the most out of each exploration and increase your yield by putting the max amount of farmhands on each trip!
