The upcoming summer will be a test of endurance for FC Bayern Munich – on many levels! The German record champions' squad is likely to undergo significant changes, with adjustments needed in several positions, and FCB has almost no real break.

Because the Club World Cup, the next major and intense competition at the highest level, begins just a few weeks after the final Bundesliga matchday. The DFL has announced a bombshell with regard to this tournament, which will also be very interesting for FC Bayern Munich and some of its starting teams.

FC Bayern Munich: DFL confirms additional transfer window

It had been in the works for a while, and now it's official. It was introduced in other top leagues like the Premier League weeks ago, and now the DFL is following suit: The Bundesliga will introduce a second transfer window this summer. Accordingly, FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund can pre-register new signings between June 1 and 10 in order to prepare them for the Club World Cup.

The regular transfer window opens on July 1, right in the middle of the tournament. For the top clubs, the mini-transfer window offers the opportunity to adjust and manage their squads. This is particularly interesting for new signings or players returning from loan.

Specifically, this affects Mathys Tel, who is on loan to Tottenham Hotspur. The London club has not qualified for the Club World Cup and will therefore go into the summer break after the final matchday. FCB new signing Bischof in demand right away?

On the other hand, Tom Bischof, whom Bayern signed on a free transfer for the coming season, is looking at this very rule. The special regulations allow him to fly to the USA with Bayern immediately after his time in Hoffenheim. There, he could play in his first major competition with his new club.
