Feit Electric - Smart lights control

This app is great! Connecting is easy. I've got over 20 smart bulbs, and although one or two may lose connection occasionally, everything works as it should. My only gripe is with the app itself. When choosing colors to cycle through, I wish it had preset choices instead of a color wheel. Sometimes, I just want to cycle through basic colors without having to pick the exact shade of green.

My Smart Floodlight isn't recording motion events. I've tried everything - resetting, reinstalling, changing SD cards multiple times. But nothing's working. Dealing with Feit devices has been such a hassle. And even when I manage to contact Support, the communication is terrible. They never fix my issues on the first, second, or even third try. I won't buy another Feit product. I'm finished with Feit.

There's this light bulb that I got. It just won't connect to the internet. I had to turn it on by hand most times and use the app to switch it off later. And there I was, trying my best for two days to link it to the Feit app. Even though it came with instructions for Google Home, it wouldn't work with it. I checked out the support forum online, only to learn that I needed a hub for it to function properly. What a bummer! I've held onto these bulbs for way too long to return them now. It's such a letdown.

I don't understand why this app exists. It's just like the Smart Life app but with fewer features. Even without the fancy effects, you can still set up these bulbs in the Smart Life app! The bulbs have awesome color and strobe effects, but when you run an automation, you can't turn on a bulb with effects. You can only set it to a solid color or white - no cool strobe or fade effects. It would be great if it could just work with the Smart Life app. Who needs a second app that's even less useful?

I recently adjusted the settings on my router. I had already divided the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. First, I checked the channels being used on the 2.4 band, then switched from automatic to an available channel (I chose 3). It made a huge difference! Everything on the 2.4 band is much faster now, and all my FEIT devices are finally online! I will keep an eye on it to see if it remains stable, and I'll provide an update later. If you're facing problems with devices going offline or not responding, you might want to give this a try.

When you plan a scene but the lights are off, the scene won't work when you turn the lights on. Sorting devices into groups can result in empty groups or devices ending up in the wrong group by mistake. The lights might randomly disconnect from the bridge or network, which is indicated by continuous flashing. It can be slow to open and make changes to certain lights. Sometimes, the lights or app may not respond at all. There are numerous other problems as well. These products are much cheaper than Hue lights, but they sure come with a lot of issues!

The camera keeps saying there's no SD card. It keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi and won't play back, showing an error instead. Trying to watch the live stream is frustrating because it lags a lot and is quite delayed, only showing a small one-second part of the stream without letting you see what you actually need. I'm getting rid of these cameras for "Wize" cameras and products. The pictures are crystal clear with no issues at all.

Wow, the app design is just so bad. The way to navigate through it is terrible. It's full of bugs, seriously, everywhere you look. Sometimes the controls just stop working for no reason at all. And the scenes constantly disconnect from your bulbs without warning. Trying to delete, edit, or make new scenes is a real pain. And when you add a light, you always have to wait at least 2 minutes, even if it's already connected. The button to confirm connecting to the internet literally does not work. And why on earth can't you turn a light mode, like flashing lights, into a scene? It makes no sense. I am never going to use this again.
