Using Guide

Flickr is the official Android application for the social network of the same name. It gives you the ability to manage your account and contacts, synchronize photographs, and much more, all from your smartphone screen.

The app lets you do just about anything you would on a regular browser, but from a handy interface adapted for touchscreens. You can upload photos by pressing, and browse through your albums with a swipe of the finger.

Using Experience

The Flickr app is especially useful to keep up with all the new work produced by the people you follow. You can see all of their new images anytime, any place, without having to wait to get home to your computer.

Flickr is a worthwhile application for frequent users of the social network, seeing as it allows you to remain connected to your account at all times.

So, the app was great at first. It kept asking me to update, but when I did, there was no update. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and then got the update. However, it's a mess now! It's like a weird mix of the desktop site and mobile app. Every time I open it, I have to enter my username and password again. Plus, I can't seem to figure out how to upload a photo from my phone. I really like Flickr, but the app has just been ruined.

Flickr gets mostly five-star ratings because it's a reliable app. Whenever I've had issues, simply closing and reopening the app solves them. The auto-upload feature functions perfectly every time. It also integrates well with Creative Cloud. There are numerous choices for organizing photos with sorting, tags, and folders. It feels less intrusive than other platforms. Plus, there are no annoying ads. Overall, I really enjoy using it. Thank you.

Sure! I used Flickr before Instagram came around. It's a great place for photographers to share their work. Personally, I prefer using Flickr for sharing my photos. Even though it's easier to connect with people on Instagram, I find that Flickr has more high-quality posts. One cool thing about Flickr is that it lets you share your photos while also backing them up with lossless compression technology.

This app is not very helpful for what I need. I have to use the web version. I can't select auto backup by folder, so I have to resort to an older independent app for that. Even though there's an option to manually upload from Android, it doesn't seem to work at all. Organizing albums is also a challenge; I can't even sort them alphabetically. Customizing menus is impossible, and the login page shows outdated photos from only two contacts. What I want is to be able to confirm uploads by viewing my camera roll. The pro version offers great photo backup capabilities, but the app is not user-friendly when it comes to accessing those features.

You have an Android phone and it's annoying that you can't easily search for and add a photo to an existing album. You have to scroll through all the albums to find it, unlike on your husband's iPhone with Flickr where you can search for it. It's puzzling why this feature isn't available on Android. As of April 20th, 2023, this issue hasn't been fixed. To top it off, in the recent update, they removed the tagging feature, which is even more frustrating. It seems like instead of improving the app, they are making it worse.
