How to use
My Gallery
You can view and edit captured images and videos by selecting the thumbnail image in the bottom left corner of the screen. Images and videos can be shared via text message or email, and can be edited by changing the color palette of the temperature scale. While an image is displayed, swipe up or down to view the visible image used for MSX® blending.
Changing the Color Palette
On the display (live image), tap the Imaging Options menu in the bottom right corner of the screen. Change how the image is displayed by tapping the Color Palette icon. Select one of the color palettes displayed. The app offers nine palettes to choose from, including color, grayscale, and a combination of both.
Infrared Scale
The FLIR ONE Pro displays the temperature range of a scene and allows you to adjust the temperature mapping using a feature called the Infrared Scale. To use it, tap the Infrared Scale icon in the Imaging Options menu. A scale appears on the left edge of the screen labeled high and low temperatures. You can adjust the color mapping by pressing and holding the bar and sliding it up or down. You can also tap to measure and type by hand within the range you select.
Gain Mode
The FLIR ONE Pro has an extended range for temperature. It can measure up to 400 degrees Celsius (752 degrees Fahrenheit). Standard mode is high gain. To use it, tap the Gain Mode icon in the Imaging Options menu. Choose the Low option and use the spot meter or range of interest you want to see in Standard mode.
Auto-calibration
The camera has a built-in mechanical shutter that periodically activates to allow the thermal camera to calibrate and refresh the image. When the shutter activates, the image is frozen for a short period of time. When the camera is first turned on, the app will periodically auto-calibrate to provide the best possible image. You can also manually activate the shutter by tapping the calibration icon in the top right of the main screen. You can switch to manual calibration by turning off auto-calibration in the settings menu.
MSX Alignment Control
The FLIR ONE Pro is designed to align thermal and visible light images at a distance of 3 meters. For close-up views, use the MSX Distance Slider Control. Tap the MSX Distance Control to activate the slider control, then slide the control to adjust the alignment. To exit the slider control, simply tap the icon again.
Lock Span
The Lock Span feature locks the color temperature range of the display to the scene you are currently viewing. Simply tap the Lock Span icon to maintain the range, or tap again to return to automatic scaling to the scene.
Settings Menu
The Settings menu allows users to configure additional features of the FLIR ONE Pro, including:
Save Location
When a cellular signal is available, location information will be added to captured images. This information will be used to display the images on a map.
Save to Phone
Turning this on will save a copy of the image or video to the phone's photo gallery. Images will be saved to the FLIR ONE Pro camera regardless of this setting. Images already captured will not be copied.
Temperature Units
Use this setting to change the temperature measurement units to Fahrenheit or Celsius.
