Frozen City Beginners Guide and Tips

Introducing the basics of Frozen City

As soon as the player enters the game, the first task they are assigned is to find wood and use it to ignite the fire. Then the players will move on to other tasks while they make sure to keep the fire burning, while they build their community to fulfill their various needs.

Frozen City

The player has to do the tasks while taking care of the well-being of the survivors. Each survivor needs rest, food, and warmth. When any of the survivor’s need for necessities is on the lower side of the bar, the player can revive them using the facilities built in the community.

As the player keeps playing and improving the community, it will reach a maximum level and the player can move onto another city/town on the map to search for new resources and improve their lifestyle differently. Once the player reaches the maximum level of a community, the resource of that place will become an unlimited source.

Understanding the in-game Shelters

Shelters are buildings built by survivors for various purposes. Using, improving, and building these are the main tasks of the survivors. To be brief, the shelters are necessary for survival. A few types of shelters are:

Dorms: These are the shelters in which the survivors can sleep and take rest. These consist of beds and a fireplace for the proper resting facility of survivors.

Mill: Mills are the shelters that act as a collection and production places of resources in usable form. Without these shelters, the player will run out of resources to continue living in the place.

Workshop/ collection stations: These are shelters, which mold the raw materials collected in mills in the desired form to be used by the survivors for various purposes.

Hunter’s cabin: Hunter’s cabin is a shelter in which the survivors hunt and bring meat that is needed for cooking in the kitchen. Here they bring the hunted animals and prepare them to be fit for cooking.

Kitchen: The kitchen is a shelter where cooking and dining occur. The raw materials are taken from the hunter’s cabin and food for survivors is prepared here.

Hospital: This is a shelter in which the wounded survivors are taken care of.

Game Overview:

🔸Establish settlements:

Amass resources, explore uncharted lands, cater to residents' essential needs, and strike a balance between production and distribution.

🔸Supply chain management:

Convert raw materials into vital goods, establish optimal production ratios, and enhance the town’s functionality.

🔸Workforce allocation:

Assign survivors to diverse roles like laborers, hunters, chefs, etc. Monitor their health and happiness levels closely. Stay informed about the town's operations. Embrace the challenges of hardcore gaming.

🔸Urban expansion:

Bolster the survivor count, construct additional settlements to attract more inhabitants.

🔸Recruit heroes:

Be it an army or a gang, allegiance outweighs allegiances and identities. Enlist them to foster the town's advancement.

I paid to play the game. I thought the building was pretty cool, especially the higher level cities. However, I had to buy heroes to keep playing. The problem was that each city required more money. I felt pressured to pay more and more as I progressed, so I decided to uninstall the game before spending too much. I think I would have preferred paying to speed up the game rather than having to buy essential items to continue.

The game was really exciting and enjoyable at the beginning. But once you reach the third city, it becomes a struggle to stay warm and fed. You have to play for just two minutes to gather resources and then wait for two hours to repeat the process. It's hard to collect enough cards to upgrade the hunters' shack and get sufficient food. So, everything has come to a halt. I might end up deleting the game, which is a shame because it had such great potential.

Changed my rating from two stars to one. The game used to be enjoyable, but now it's getting really hard to advance without paying. A week ago, the side missions were easy, but now they seem impossible. The "Vain Castle" mid-week event required buying blueprints to upgrade cabins for more survivors. At one point, if you weren't actively playing, the survivors wouldn't do anything. Not worth keeping.

You enjoy the story, art, gameplay, and events. However, for free-to-play players, the journey can be long and tiresome. The first city is easy, but in the second city, you notice that hero drop rates decrease, and you need them to upgrade buildings. By the third city, drop rates are almost zero. It might be better to stop playing at that point because progress becomes very difficult.

Solved the bug by uninstalling and reinstalling, but it reoccurred on the next level. Restarting fixed it. Encountered a few more bugs but still enjoyed playing. Despite the hiccups, really like the game. Unable to progress further due to issues with characters eating or sleeping.

The game was really good and the graphics were impressive. However, the only problem was that you had to pay to progress further in the game. I reached the third town but couldn't continue without buying a hero. Since I didn't want to spend money, I decided to stop playing and uninstalled the game.

The initial levels are enjoyable and free to play, drawing players in. However, as you progress, the game becomes a jumble of bad translations, confusion, and imbalance. It feels like a clear attempt to push players towards paying for advantages. It's hard to say whether these issues are intentional or just poorly thought out. The special events, especially, lack proper explanations, from how to start the event to understanding important statistics screens. On the positive side, the game features great artwork.

The game is frustrating because you have to pay to win. You might spend money on buying heroes, but end up getting ones that are useless for leveling up. This can make you waste nearly $10 for nothing valuable. The game is built to drain your money with its hero system. It's designed well enough to be attractive and keeps your interest by progressing quickly. However, it constantly deceives you.
