The Fuel Rewards® Program (also known as Fuel Rewards Network or FRN) is a no-cost rewards program that assists you in cutting costs on fuel at more than 11,000 Shell stations throughout the country. Fuel Rewards members holding Gold Status save a minimum of 5¢ per gallon on each refueling. Additionally, you can garner extra Fuel Rewards savings by shopping, dining, making travel arrangements, and more. These rewards accumulate, and there is no ceiling on how much you can save. The rewards are applicable to any refueling, up to 20 gallons.

Platinum Status

Save at least 10¢/gal†, earn 2X on select In-Store Rewards‡, and access special VIP experiences.

Our most rewarding tier of the program. To earn Platinum Status, fill up at Shell 12 times with 10 gallons or more in 3 months. Each fill-up with V-Power® NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline counts as 2 fills.

Gold Status

Save at least 5¢/gal† on every fill-up.

New Fuel Rewards® members enjoy Complimentary Gold Status for an introductory period. To maintain Gold Status, fill up 6 times in 3 months. Qualifying fill-ups must be 10 gallons or more.

Silver Status

Save at least 3¢/gal† on every fill-up.

Fuel Rewards® Members enjoy everyday savings at Shell with Silver Status. Qualifying fill-ups must be 10 gallons or more

How to Redeem

Fuel Rewards® Savings

Method 1

    1. Use the Fuel Rewards app to link a credit or debit card to your Fuel Rewards® account.

    2. At the pump, swipe your linked card to access your rewards and lower your fuel price.

    3. Select YES to redeem all rewards or NO to only redeem savings from your Member Status.

Method 2 Use an Alt ID

    1. Follow the prompts at the pump and select “Fuel Rewards®.”

    2. Enter your Alt ID or swipe a Fuel Rewards® card.

    3. Select YES to redeem all rewards or NO to only redeem savings from Gold or Silver Status.

    4. Swipe your credit or debit card to complete your transaction.

The use of your information by Shell is subject to the Fuel Rewards® program privacy policy.

Ways to Earn Rewards:

At Shell: By possessing Gold Status, you will save at least 5¢ per gallon on each fill-up at participating Shell stations. Moreover, you can amass rewards at specific Shell stations when you purchase snacks, beverages, car washes, and other items. (In the absence of Gold Status, you will revert to Silver Status and save 3¢ per gallon on every refueling at participating Shell stations).

Dining: Obtain 10¢ per gallon for every $50 spent at over 10,000 participating restaurants nationwide with a connected Mastercard, Visa, or American Express credit/debit card (must be employed as credit, not debit).

Shopping: Garner at least 5¢ per gallon for every $50 spent at designated local and online vendors.

Travel: Acquire 5¢ per gallon for every $50 expended when making hotel bookings, flight reservations, and renting cars through the Fuel Rewards program.

How to Save at the Pump:

    So, this app and its admin always give me mixed feelings. There was a recent update glitch, so I had to uninstall the app. When I tried to reinstall it, my login details were missing, leaving me locked out for two weeks. This meant I couldn't access my gas rewards points. Suddenly, the app is back on track, and I could finally load my weekly reward without any explanation.

    When it's working well, it's awesome. There are occasional glitches, but overall, the rewards system is fantastic. I've been using it from the beginning, and it has improved a lot over the years. I think I've saved around $1,500 in total. Being able to combine rewards is really handy. The only improvement I'd suggest is increasing the limit from 20 gallons to 35 gallons like Kroger.

    The app keeps showing 'System Error' and doesn't display the stations. Every time you open it, they keep asking for your location. It serves no real purpose for users, just a way to track you. Fuel Rewards should stop their sneaky data mining tactics! Why do they want to track you even when the app is closed? I won't turn on location all the time, so stop asking!

    Stop asking me for my precise location every time I open the app. This has been going on for 2 years now, and it's really annoying. Also, I recently installed the app on a new Samsung phone, logged in, and it crashed. Now, it won't even reopen. This is unacceptable. The app is completely useless right now. Your developers need better training. Maybe invest more money to hire experienced professionals instead of beginners.

    I have two apps, the shell app and the fuel rewards app. I find it confusing to use both of them. I tried to add my payment methods, but it didn't work. I could only add one and not two. I deleted one to try adding a new one, but still couldn't reload them.

    The app was really good before. But then they released the latest update, which has some bugs. The feature I use the most is comparing prices of gas stations nearby. However, after the update, you can only see a few stations in your area. Plus, the prices displayed don't show any discounts unless you zoom in all the way. It's now really difficult to compare prices effectively.

    Each update keeps getting worse. The newest version can't even show my loyalty discount. The app still can't display gas station prices, a problem that has been going on for years. I now receive error messages prompting me to reach out to customer support, something that didn't happen with the previous version. I have tried uninstalling, deleting data, and more, but nothing works. Shell should consider getting rid of the current app developer and finding a more competent team to start fresh.
